Just thought I would start the discussion.  It would be nice to get to know some of the families before graduation.

When I spoke to my son I asked him if he knew where he was going but I guess he hasn't been informed yet.  He enlisted in the Seaman Program or Seamanship Program.  He will be learning many Navy jobs over a 15 or 18 month period.  I can't wait to find out where he's going first.
I think he'll be going over to what they use to call Main side for training (old navy). Not sure what they call it now. You should have all weekend with him.
That would be great.  I planned on being there all weekend (from my Army experience, I just assumed I would have all weekend).  Either way, I have the whole weekend blocked of for the trip. :)
We thought we would too. But if the have A school else where they usually leave the next morning. That's what we're looking at, She goes to Texas next.

Hi Ladies, Just a reminder in order to protect our SR's, last names are not allowed on here. Didn't want anyone getting in trouble, so I hope you don't take this in the wrong way.

Thanks :)

Ok ladies, apparently we are not allowed to share names on this site.  So if you would, please remove any post that contains your SR's name.

Hi msu4enics, if you read the message just above the clock, you'll see where it states this. I just didn't want any of our SR's getting in trouble,as people have mentioned the RDC's sometime sneak on here and read our posts. Just trying to help !!!!

Thanks !!!!!

Hey that's okay. We all know they don't need to get IT because of us dumb moms.
Hi everyone. 24 days. Anyone else getting excited?
Yes I am very excited just getting ready to book our flights and rental car.  Even though our son is staying in Great Lakes we are leaving Sunday morning.  The difference in airfare for the five of us to leave at 9;00am as opposed to 6:00 pm was like 1000.00   It would only work out to about five more hours with him.  I feel really bad but at least we will have all day Saturday with him.  Does anyone know how long they stay in A school and if they are allowed home for holidays?
It depends on the A school and how close it is to home.
PIR is getting closer and closer for this PIR group. I still can't believe September is almost over, Here is just a heads up, I am working on the ribbons for your group to wear to PIR, I have several that I haven't received the payment for so if you ordered and forgot to send your payment please remember to do that :-) I will begin mailing the ribbons for this PIR group very soon. If you have any questions at all send me a message or a friend request and I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks so much!!! I hope you all get some awesome letters and fantastic phone calls this week.  If you haven't seen the Encouraging questionnaire I posted in the discussion be sure and check it out. This is a really good time to send it. It is funny and has a really encouraging paragraph in it about battle stations. You can even send a couple extras for them to share with their friends and they can fill it out and send it to their family. You guys are awesome, Thanks again, Lala
