Hi everyone!  My SR has sent letters to other family members and it is nice because he shared different things with each of us.  He seems to be doing well. I'm praying for all our SRs.

Welcome to Ship 3 Div 221. Although it is small right now, I am so glad you found us and joined. It looks like you also joined PIR 7/8/11. That group has some vetrarn moms who have put kids or spouses through boot camp already that have a lot of valuable information and support.

Karleen

I didn't recieve a call either. With some of the ladies from different divisons but graduating the same day I thought maybe we would too. Hopefully soon though!

Hello all,

Just found this site and your group. My son is in this group. Does anyone know; the four people invited to PIR.. Does this include children or can you have 4 adults and one child? I read through literature from 2 different sources; now I am confused. My son is the product of a "blended" family and all siblings want to attend. Since there are 8, that is not in the cards. But one would like to attend with her daughter. Because my son has "2" dads who will both be there; I am trying to determine which of the brothers or sisters will be able to go.

thanks,

Welcome to Ship 3 Div 221! Glad you found us. This is a small group but I felt since our SR's are in the same divison that we should get to know each other since our SR's are getting to know each other too.

My son is Aaron and he is a nuke. We are from West Jordan Utah. I'm proud my son choose the Navy but I do miss him and worry about him, like we all do.

Thanks for joing, Karleen

Hi All - I have not received any phone calls except the one after his arrival, I have sent a ton of letters as have other family members. I haven't checked the mail yet today, but i did get one letter last week, the gf got 2 and my mom in MD got one also last week.  I have booked lodging in the Navy Lodge but am a little scared to book flights yet...I was thinking maybe next week?? I cant wait for the next letter!!!! I thought this would be easy as my child is a product of a split family and always spent summers out of state, what I realize now is I could always call him anytime I wanted... This is sooo hard....still over a mo left.... come on July!! and another letter!!! :)
Got letters today! one for Mom one for me and one for his younger brother. Sounds like he is doing alot better says he is the division religous petty officer!

So nice to talk to others; or just review the posts. My son was in art school before joining and I'm sure is older than most in the group. I saw that others had the same concerns and I was ready for my phone call on Friday thanks to this site.

I use my phone as a work phone also; so I don't always answer strange numbers right away because they are usually sales people.

Thanks for the heads up!

My Son is also Ship 03/ DIV 221, this is great to hear what others are finding out, Im hoping to have a letter tonight when I get home, apparently my Son was Government Certified to be head of the Mail and he gaters all mail Sunday to go out Monday..and now he is Asst. Mail (dont know the actual lingo as well) but Asst. now because he is Section Leader.. OMG Im so proud of him!!!
well we sure do appreciate your son...mail guy is always good!!!

Karen,

Welcome to Ship 3 Div 221. I am so glad you found us. We're a small group but it's been fun getting to know others from our division.

My son is a nuke. What is your fiance? Hope to talk to you more soon.

Karleen

Hi chicinge....  I'm kinda in the same boat as you.  I feel for you, as my son has been sick almost the whole time he has been there.  He is worried about passing his run.  He said it would be his biggest disappointment, if he didn't get to do PIR. I'll be praying for your son along with mine.
