My name is Gracie, I am Erick's mom. My son is also in ship 04 div 120. I agree with u, we should meet. What about that meet n greet events

looking forward to meeting you Gracie. How old is Erick and what is is Job/A school . My son is Joe and he is going to be a HM. Boy I cant wait to get a letter. I have asked my son in a couple letters who his new friends are. I truely hope is is some of your sons.

Blessings, Kathy

Erick turned 19 two months ago.  He will go to Pensacola, Fla.  His job is, mmm, don't know the exact name of it, but he said it was Air Rescue?? I am so ANXIOUS to get a letter.   My younger son and I are always checking the mail now, before all this, we would check it maybe once a week.  I hope that your son is one of  Erick's friend.  This is much more harder than what I was expecting.

Hope to meet you once we go to PIR

Hi Gracie, my name is Rose. My son Anthony is on the same ship as your Erick. Wow, just think, our boys are becoming best of friends, supporting each other while working very hard. I'm just so thankful for the camaraderie that is going on with our young men.

Looking forward to meeting you at PIR.

Rose

I am writing another letter to Erick and am asking if he already got to know Anthony, Matt or Joe who are all on the same ship.  Hope that they are getting to be friends and I am telling him that as they are getting to know each other so are we as Navy moms through this wonderful website.  I also told him to please tell the boys to not take anything personal, that they are probably trying to push their buttons to see how much they can tolerate and that we are praying for them so they can have the strength necessary to succeed during this hard nine weeks.  I pray that God will be with them every step of this new journey and that he gives them the courage needed for all that they have to over come.

I am really looking forward to meeting you and all other Navy moms who will be at PIR

Gracie

Hi Gracie, I am Matt's Mom. I did the same thing yesterday. I wrote to Matt  asking him if he knows  Joe , Eric , and Anthony. I hope he does. Matt is 18 so they are all around the same age. We all are such a wonderful support team for each other.  I know they will be a great support team for each other with Mom's like us. Today is Sunday no letter yesterday. I now have put in my mind we all probably wont get one till Wed or Thurs of this week. They are able to write on Sunday so I am hoping they are all writing us letters today. My husband and I and my 10 year old son went to a confirmation party last night it was so hard that Matt was not there with us. And yes everyone at the party came up to me and asked have you heard from Matt!!! And I said no only the form letter with the two lines on the back. I must look at those two lines 10 times a day. We all know they are safe. But we just want to hear  Hey Mom.  I am grateful to you all. This is making me get through not being with my Son.

I checked my mailbox twice yesterday, just in case, but of course no letter.  I hope this coming week we will start getting their letters.  I know how you feel when you go to a place where he normally would go and he didn't this time.  I have spring break coming up and I always go out of town and both my boys and I go together.  Now I am dreading going because I am going minus one and I know  everyone is going to ask about how he is doing.  I miss him already and it makes me sad that he is not going with us.  It sure will be a very long trip without him and am not looking forward to that right now.  I tried to encourage one of my coworkers, whose mother lives over there but at first she was saying yes to the trip but now her plans have changed so i am stuck going with my little boy and not Erick.  It will be okey, I know but since it's a long 5 1/2 drive I know I am just going to be thinking about Erick and surely some tears will make their way out of my eyes.   I am praying that it will go by FAST and maybe if we do get a letter that will make it a bit easier for me. I will have something to tell my family.  In his brief note behind the form letter he also said he was FINE and he did put it in capitals to make sure I knew he was ok.  I have been a little bit better since that, but I still get anxious and want to know more about how he is doing and feeling at this time.  I am grateful to his friend here in Austin, one of them came last night and visited with us for about 3 hours.  We laughed, talked about Erick, he wrote Erick a small letter while here so I could mail it to him and kept encouraging us that Erick is smart and strong and that he will be alright.  I am so thankful for his visit.

I really hope we can meet at PIR
