My SR took phone cards and I also got FREE calling codes from a group that provides free calling cards to recruits.  I found the link while scrolling thru the boot camp group. the link is callsforrecruits.org.

Got six numbers that are good for about 20 minutes each! You can just print the numbers and include in your letter!

i hope they might get to write this sunday? Can't wait for a letter.. I know they are alot busier than other divisions though

I'm missing my son a lot lately. I hope we get a letter soon. I mailed one out last week and this week. I'm sending a letter out each week.

vicbo, we just mailed our SR a phone card a couple of days ago. It wasn't easy to find....all are for cell phones, but did find one. Hoping we get a call at the end of the week. (?) Hoping they get to do something special and meaningful on Memorial Day.

Thanks ladies, Im going to check out the link from CaliMommaJ & will check for a regualr phone card too.  Hoping they get a chance to write soon..even a one liner will be better than nothing lol

My son asked for a stick of gum. Tucked nicely between my letters.

Also if your son mentions that one of the recruits is not getting mail try to get the name and we can all write. anonamously(?) of course. My son said its kind of a bummer not to get your name called at mail time. I gave my family and friends his address so he would get plenty of mail. and he did lol

I gave his address to family, friends, and his church youth group. I'm hoping he gets plenty of mail. I've told everyone to please make sure that he gets mail every Sunday.

Oh good because that website isn't cooperating lol, I sent him with stamps so depending on how much time he has he should be covered for a few letters anyway. I thought I read somewhere they probably couldn't write until at least two weeks in..I've read so much though I may have made that up! Lol
ive read that too.... its holding to be true. plus tomorrow marks two weeks! so anytime aftr that is fair game for a letter hopefully
Oh good I'm not loosing it lol. Can't wait to hear from him.

I used the calling cards for soldiers, they sent us 6. They said to email them any time when he starts running low.

Yes! My son is in this group! He left 2 weeks ago today. I have received a short note from him that was on the back of the info letter that was sent. I understand he should graduate July 6th. Is that when your son/daughter will graduate? Susan G.
