Just got my recruits address and found out he is in Ship 6 DIV 947.  Anyone else have a loved one in this division?

Bless his heart! He definitely is tougher than ever. He is probably so in awe this accomplishment that he will be wide awake.
I hope this is the case
Did everyone get back ok? Did everyone have a great trip to see their grads?
We made it back ok. Had a great weekend with our daughter. She actually just called from her new address at A school. Was so excited when we left. Now not so happy. I thought this step would be easier. I hope things get better for her. I am sending her cell phone and things to her, I hope this helps.
Hope everyone else made it back ok...
Glad you made it back okay. I don't remember ... where is her A school? Is it closer to you? Hopefully once she has her call phone and things it will be easier for you.
Her A school is also at Great Lakes. It runs from October - January. How about you? Where is your recruit going???
Mine is in Pensacola. He arrived yesterday so it is time to ship those things that he is now allowed to have. Last night he said that he will be there for 1 year although that is different than what he said prior to his arrival. But 1 year is totally cool with me since that is close enough to "do" in a weekend.
Glad to hear that you can visit. That should definately help things go better for the both of you. Good luck to him and you.
Yes .... mine also said he hated that he would not be with your son in A school. They definitely sounded like two peas in a pod ... friendships have been formed that they will cherish always. In their macho Navy way of course. :-)
I love you guys! I think our sons did become quite fond of each other too. (love the "macho Navy way" thing) Cracked me up... and reminded me of our kids.
I love you guys too! I am so glad that they all had each other as they went through that phase of their new journey and trusting that God will place the right circle of support in their lives for this next phase of their journey. :-)
Hey Beth did your son go to A school for aeronautics training? My son is in Pensacola as well, but he isn't sure how long these classes will last. He is excited to wear some of his civilian clothes. Ask your son if he knows the sailor that carried the Iowa flag. Thanks for everthing and I hope we can continue to keep in touch. All of you have been a god send.
