Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Got a second letter from my SR. He wrote a letter to each of his brothers also. He stated that they are able to mail letters out sun,tues, and thurs. They are able to receive mail daily. My parents also received a letter from him today. He confirmed that your son (Diana) is in the same div as him. Of the 92 in the div less than half passed their first PT Test but said they all should by the 2nd test. Didn't have much training before hand so it was like a benchmark. He stated the weather got cold like our texas winter for a few days but got warmer again. He said one guy was out due to drug test came back positive. Only 3meals a day so they get hungry. Bootcamp sucks because RDCs yell all the time and he's glad he not a section leader but feels bad for them because some of the guys could really try harder to follow their instructions. He said it's not hard just feels like you're a freshman getting initiated and can't wait for 10/28.

I got a call from my SR, we were able to talk about 35-40 minutes! I am soooo happy to hear from him, he even got to talk to his little brother.

Hello,
My neighbor/friend's son left on Sept 1 and has PIR on 10/28 and is Ship 7/Div 357. She only has computer access at work and can not log on to this site. Therefore I will represent her and him. My son left to bootcamp 4/5/11, PIR 6/3/11, and my nephew left 4/19/11 so I've recently survived BC, PIR, Training, etc... Please feel free to ask me anything. I have another nephew leaving in February, so I should be a pro by then!! I can tell you my son is very happy with his decision and is loving life in San Diego California!!! My question is, does anyone know when Battlestation is for this division yet? Thanks!

Got a letter from our SR. He wrote s specific letter to his dad also since he missed the call early this week. They had a very hard week. Many broke down in tears. Talked about their 3 RDCs. I'm glad I had prior service to prepare him a bit on how much they yell and make you feel so below dirt level. His quote "do they really have to swear in every sentence". He is thankful for our prayers because he knows that is how they will pull through this. Believing in God and believing in each other.

If any of you guys hear about how the second PT test went please post here. My son didn't not pass the first one and I know he is very worried about passing the second one. I am very worried also.
