I have not received any letter from my SR since 5-14-2012 ,He did say they are very busy not alot of time to write. I know he sound alot better then previous letters, Hopefully I here from him by the end of the week!!! It is almost over Go Navy!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with "Where is the other thread?" I am looking for info too and have to find it generically through other divisions. Maybe we all can try to keep this group going. My daughter writes me weekly. She has said that she passed the firearms and been talking to me about the normal basic training activities. I have not heard of any calls coming through yet. Has anyone else?

Is everyone got their reservations for that weekend?

Thanks for that.....All I know is.....I CANT WAIT FOR PIR 6/1 - I am going crazy!!!  It is just my daughter and I going to PIR - From Arkansas / Southeast Missouri to GREAT LAKES!!!  I have my room at Springhill Suites - thanks to "Name Your Own Price" -  $65/night!!! Way to go Capt Kirk!!!  Gotta luv me some Negotiator!!  Renting a car to drive since my truck gets ;( gas mileage.....and if it breaks down, they bring me another one!!   Just gotta worry about SEEING my son!!!

No call this weekend either.....and his Mother's day letter last week was short and sweet.....the sweet is what concerns me - haha!!

oh yeh, we are going to Sarge's meet n greet Thurs night I think.....anyone else??  anyone staying at Springhill??  We are driving up Wed so we will be rested and have a chance to scout around for stuff to do and go.

My daughter and I and her 4 kids are driving up early Thursday from Horn Lake Mississippi, staying at the Navy Lodge and going to Sarges meet and greet. My son is not in this div he is ship7, div 170 but no activity going on on that site. See you there!

definately............I am driving from Jonesboro, AR - use to visit Horn Lake and area, very pretty!!!

So looking forward to this visit, not only going to PIR but getting to meet my new new 8 week old grandson too and see the other 3 for the first time in 15 months! Sunday cannot come fast enough!!! This will be the first time my son gets to meet his new nephew also.

FYI - Our SR said they have earned all of the flags but one, the athletic flag.  He said they are the first division in 100 who have not been able to earn this flag (Bummer)!

I am getting so excited too! I can't believe that it is just 9 days away!!! And hopefully Thursday we will get a call, ladies!

Good luck to all your SR's who are about to endure Battlestations in the next couple of days! I've been in all your shoes 2 years ago so I know exactly how you are all feeling this week, hang in there and keep those phones on you!!!!

Thank you NFVMom! My phone is with me constantly. Do you have any idea of when the calls begin to come in?
