So happy tonight!!  Came home from work to 4 letters in my mailbox.  3 in one envelope and 1 in another.  It's too funny because the lonely letter he put in an envelope all by itself was an after-thought that he had after sealing the first envelope!

Get this - he wrote - Hey mom, one more thing. Can you send me the lyrics to Johnny Cash Greatest Hits?  I've been singing in my head at night so yeah ha ha! "  WHAT!! My son wants Johnny Cash lyrics!!  LOL

He's doing great.  Got his wisdom teeth pulled. Said bootcamp feels like prison sometimes. Whatever day he wrote one of them (he doesn't put the date on them like I asked him to) he said "I take my first test this next Monday.  I WILL PASS!"  I just love his confidence!!  and he did pass because when I talked to him Monday, he told me that he passed his test.  One of the letters was written on a Sunday because he told me that he was going to church at 9 am. He says he misses sleeping in!  ha ha ha.  Then he says again, I have my test tomorrow and I will surely pass!  He wants me to send him the scores of the football games each week.

Thanks for letting me share my letters!  It's a great way to end a day.

Your very welcome!! We love hearing what everyone says, it helps us to fill in the gaps of what the letter from our SR's leave out!!

My daughter told me that pictures are on the 25th & battlestations are on the 28th.  Did anyone get the dates for anything else?

My son told me battlestations is on the 29th!  LOL.

Thanks for passing on the info about Battlestations. I'll have my blue candle lit both days!

Thank you My2Sailors and ProudNavyMom for sharing what you SR's tell you.  It realy helps. I've finally booked our plane tickets. Only 4 weeks to go   Yay!!!

LOL...Maybe it starts the 28th & ends the 29th.  We should burn our blue candles both days for luck, just in case.  I think I'll burn it the whole week!!
So happy today! I came home from work and had 3 more letters from my daughter well technically 2 one was for her Dad! Said she is doing great and they are at the half way point. She also said she "5.0'd her weapons inspection, holla". So I'm guessing that's a good thing. She likes her BCG's and thinks where they sleep is haunted. lol. I also received my scarf today too.
LOL...I'll have to ask my daughter how she did, she would shout sporting clays with her dad alot, but that was with a shotgun not a hand gun.  My daughter would probably feel at home if their barracks is haunted, she has always told me that our house is haunted by a little old lady in a polka dotted dress.   Of course, I've never seen it.
For anyone that is on our group facebook page, I posted a picture of the Navy scarf that we are wearing to PIR and how I personalized it with my SR's information.

Hi!! what is your facebook page

OK Ladies, it is Trivia Tuesday!!! I will be playing & praying that I am quick enough with the answer to a pic of our recruits.  Good luck to anyone else who is playing!!
Sending out prayers to all of our SR's who are battling some kind of illness or injury.  Personally my daughter said she messed up her heels but she is going to push through it.  God Bless each and every one of them.
