Hello :)  My son shipped out this past Tuesday, August 14th.  I am thinking his PIR date will be October 12th.  Does anyone know if that sounds right?  Thanks!!

I sure hope so, 4 days and it seems like forever !! thanks so much ! Can't wait for some info !

Mine also shipped 8/14. so I was also thinking PIR 10/12......

That was the date I was projecting too. My son left on the 13th. I am still waiting on the letter.

Do you know his address - Ship and Division number? His recruiter should be able to look that up for you, if you don't already know it. Graduations are listed at: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp based on Ship and Div number. Still waiting to see when my daughters, who are in Ship 09 Div 327, will be posted.

My son left on August 13, I received his box last Thursday 16, I have not received his form letter.. I spoke to his recruiter on Friday and he told me he is in holding because there were not enough recruits to make up a division. They sleep in a tent until they get enough to move to their Ship.So no address..This also gives him a dead week, so last week did not count.... I am impatiently waiting on my letter..Does anyone else know if their child is in holding?? We are fromTexas and he is going into SWCC(special forces)

That's great news!  We are still waiting for our son's box and letter!  I think I break every speed limit driving home each day!

I have tried calling the recruiter twice but no return phone call yet :(  I realize they are busy but they have to understand that we are some anxious mommas!

My son also left on the 14th. I was so glad to see all your posts. Without all the information you have posted here I would have been lost. I was a little upset when I got the phone call as it was very short. I didn't even have a chance to tell him I loved him. I got the box yesterday but no form letter yet. I have so many letters to send!

Me too!  I have written him one letter every day he has been gone.  I haven't received the box or the letter yet though - anxiously waiting!

I went through everything looking for some note or something he may have slipped in there but nothing. I didn't expect they would let them but I was hopeful anyway. I am sure your box will be there anytime now.

Thanks for letting us know!  That is encouraging!

I got my box today, but no letter, am waiting on that to confirm the address the recruiter gave me ! Hope it comes soon ! Taylor had written a message on the inside flap of the box... Hurry up time and go by so we can see our SR's !
