Hi Lemonelephant,

I'm Shel and my son actually left the same day 1/5/16 for basic.  Would it be possible for you too leave the same information on my page also?  I am sooo non techie...still trying to learn how to navigate site, just joined yesterday.

Thank you soooo much.

thank you for the info , I thought it was 9 Fridays from first day maybe 10  that would be march 4th or the 11th so i was way off lol

Thank you , i appreciate you explaining that to me  that makes since !

Thank you for this information. My son left on the 5th as well and his wife and I are waiting for his letter so we can make plans

Thank you because I was also thinking March 11th. My son left on 1/5/16 and while it's early for the box, letters, etc., the waiting part is tough. Thank you for this site as it has helped me to know that this is normal. Thanks again.
We received the box today so, hopefully, the form letter is not too far behind. but I was wondering why his writing tablet, stamps an envelopes were also sent back. we were told to send these items with him so was wondering if we misunderstood. No biggie, just curious. Thank you

Beth, yes, he could have kept the writing materials. He chose to send them back rather than attempt to put them in his "Valuables" Sock. We usually suggest sending stamps and you can send those back to him when you get his address in The Form Letter. He will get stationery at the RTC and can buy stamps at the NEX. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit.

Check your My Page.

I didn't know that we could send stamps, his recruit told me they provide stamps

Denise, Your recruit can purchase stamps at the NEX. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit.

I left info for you on your My Page.

you were right! i just go the letter and it is the 26th

My daughter is leaving on the 12th too. Hope you are enjoying as much time as possible with him. I know I am with my daughter!

Hi All ,

With my son leaving onJanuary 6th , i am hoping to plan for February 2/26 as well. Thank you for this forum it has been truly helpful
