New to this site, but my son shipped Jan 5 also. I received his box today. But I haven't received any letter.

Teri, ten days after arrival is the average time to receive The Form Letter, so yours will be coming soon.

Thanks Everyone, My name is Maureen and my son left for boot camp on January 7th; based on what I've read graduation seems to be February 26. Very grateful for this sight!

Good afternoon, my son shipped out to RTC on 1/5/16 and "The Box" arrived today! The whole house is adjusting to the quiet! A huge amount of info is on this page and I am so grateful!

Good afternoon everyone, my son shipped out to RTC on 1/5/16 and I got "the kid in a box" yesterday.  Even though I've been through this with my first son, it doesn't get easier.  Not to mention now I'm dealing with an empty nest.

My daughter-in-law received my son's letter today and you were right about his PIR date! It is the end of February. I have already reserved our hotel stay.

Thank you!
