Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He has been talking about marriage for a while now.. And said if things go well he and I will talk about it more after all his schooling. I have a lot of schooling left too and we don't want to add more stress to that.. But we have a plan and it will work out as it may.. But I do have a good feeling that it will be a lasting relationship.. This whole thing will make it new again.. But better cuz we are already in love.. Even if he does ask me to marry him.. It is going to be a long engagement. -

I wish you the best. You seem like a smart girl, and as someone that has faced many adversity, I encourage you to live together at least a year or two. The first year is the the more affectionate stage of a relationship. The following years everything is exposed. And it is a hard fact as you age your mind is still molding. So because in your early to mid twenties (I dont know what age you are) your mind your thoughts are changing it is the wisest choice to wait. When are parents tell us this it feels like they are just saying that because they don't know us and therefore they dont know how well oriented and steadfast we are mentally, but they are so right. Experience speaks volumes. If you want a lasting marriage someday, I encourage you to live together first (for a while lol). Based on your pictures you two seem like a cute couple and the bit of personality I can gather from you I believe you will make the wisest choice

Thanks! I am only 20 yrs old.. 21 in November. And I want to experience life with him without any pressures.. and waiting is for the best.. Living together is what I hope for.. And I just got a letter from him today saying that he has changed a little bit of things so that he can be only stationed in CA, so he is thinking about us too. So yeah time can only tell and yes the 20's are the age of thinking and rethinking things, so that is why he and I talk so much about every aspect of life before we commit to something super serious.

We're from Miami so he is trying to get stationed in the east coast preferably in Florida. He has 2 kids from a previous marriage and he would like to be close to the kids. Personally I'm tired of Miami of Florida so I told him I want to leave. I wouldn't mind leaving the country, but I told him I will go wherever he wants to be.

i am turning 26 soon, but graduated in 2003 because my birthday is in sept. so i was held back a year. i attended hialeah high '99-'03, wen to henry h filer in 1996-'99, and went to meadowlane elem.

Yeah all we can do is stand by them.. And where they get stationed is solely based on where there is a job available.. I would like to get out of CA.. But I guess time will only tell..

Well for schooling there is certain stationed areas (as you already know). For actual job after schooling depends on openings for that job and that can vary to all sorts of places. Like the information Jas babe posted. I honestly don't know when they will know probably at the end of schooling and when his orders are getting filled.
