Hi CrazyBlonde! My daughter is on the same ship:) She is in the Choir. She says the Performers are called the TRIPLE THREAT!

Drill Team - Band - Choir

She is also going to be a Hospital Corpsman. Glad to meet you all!!!!

Received a letter today, Loves her blue camies, dog tags and is happy she has no blisters. She also said they have lost 3 females. Wondering how that happens.

So glad we are all getting together on here. :) Best wishes to all of the SRs and their support team...US!

I bet they are all proud to be getting their uniforms and tags. I know my son prepared for this and went in ready to give it his all. I'm sure he's loving the camo and tags, and most of all...The challenges. Triple Threat...Awesome Vivian!

It will really be alot of help and fun sharing this experience with each other.

Some folks are getting letters from our division I read. Yay! I saw 2 posts elsewhere, stating mail is arriving! Can't wait!

Great info! So thankful for this site!!

My son gave me a good idea of when he will be calling in his letter.  I am not sure if it is a division wide date but I thought I would offer up the information just in case. Since we aren't supposed to put exact dates on this main site if anyone would like this information, just friend me and I will email it to you.

Have a great weekend everyone!

OK everyone, just seen the uniform message for May 4th PIR. We will be in dress Blues so everyone can now plan what they will be wearing.

Chief

Hello everyone!

My son did mention buddies from Corpus Christie and someone from Mississippi.... seems they and mine - the only one from Ohio - are friends.

We are from Corpus Christi.  My SR mentioned a friend in the letter to GF, but I am forgetting the name mentioned.  It seemed to be a nickname.  Possibly it was Jax-(from Miss????)

My SR also stated that the division was having a hard time at first, but seem to be coming together now.  After what seemed like a bunch of IT.  The way he worded it was that some did not understand that when one messes up, the whole division is punished.  After 4 years of NJROTC, this is a concept he truely gets! ;)

He is loving the camo uniform and cannot wait for the performance at PIR.  He said he and the CO of the drill team are working on a routine.  My SR is XO of the drill team.  He also mentioned in a letter to GF that he is the Weapons Petty Officer, but I have not been able to find much of what that involves.

Amanda, so glad they are coming together as a group. My son is probably enjoying the IT, as he prepared well for heavy PT, and it seems they are getting much less PT than was expected. So glad to hear all the tidbits everyone is sharing. :)

Lola, I was sure they would PIR in Whites, are we certain it will be in Blues? I hope it is blues. That would be great!

I am hoping for the blues also.  Much easier to keep clean while on liberty!!!
