We are going to Great Lakes to visit our son again. Does anyone know of a good beach to recommend?  We'll be staying in Deerfield, and I was hoping for something with parking and bathrooms.

aj2daway, before I leave this group..... to order more hoodies or t-shirts just call the company again. I think you have to order within a certain amount of time. Not sure how long you have. Here is a link to their contact page. The phone number is at the bottom of the page.

I am also leaving this group now but if any of you have an problems or questions at all about A-school or anything else I am only a message away. You can reach me by sending a message to me on this site, through my email or through contact us on my website I hope you and all your Sailors have a plesant A-school journey and get to visit often. There can be some hard times during A-school so continue to be as supportive as you were during boot camp for your Sailor. I wish "Fair winds and following seas" to all of you.  Lala

ALUMNI?? I can't believe we are Alumni?  PIR was the best thing ever!!!

Comment by aj2daway on May 10, 2012 at 10:25pm

addy -I think most of us are joining the groups that pertain to our sailors A schools and/or rates.

does anyone know how we can order more div shirts or hoodies?

Comment by AaronsMom (Ship 04, Div 811) on May 9, 2012 at 10:22pm

Addy: I don't know about another website, but I think I'm having N4M withdrawals. I might have to join the boot camp moms group again just so I have emails to read again even though they don't pertain to me anymore. Thankfully.  I wondered why I couldn't find much info about pre-dive school.  Maybe people don't get on here as much once they have more contact with their sailors.

Thanks everyone! Your support continues to help me through this.

EOD Mom - that's too cute! She has red hair and does tend to stand out because of it. She told me early on that the RDCs were calling her 'Red'.

It's so wonderful to hear about everyone's time with their sailors! It sounds like it was amazing! I'm so happy for each one of you!

Juliebelle was so sweet to scan in and send me the division photo taken before graduation. I wasn't even sure my SR would be in it. She was! I never realized how excited and emotional a picture could make me! Thanks again, Juliebelle! It truly did this Momma's heart good to see my girl's sweet face!

Probably best to call the Photo Lab and ask.  I too had heard that these must be paid for by the SRs if paid while in bootcamp...with something in "their names."  My son had a VISA card on my account, in his name, and used that after I told him that I wanted to pay for them.

If anyone would like to call the Photo Lab and ask, here is the number:

Some ladies have just put the cash into their SR's checking accounts so they can pay with their debit cards.
