Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son is in Ship 2 Division 925 as well. We are from Wyoming so we are just up the road from Colorado :) My son is in the band. Do you have any idea what your son is doing in this performing division?

Actually I have no idea why he's in this division. He signed on for Hospital Corpsman (HM). I thought he would be in the 800 division. Last note home he said he was Master at Arms, but that's subject to change I'm told by others.

Hello Crazy Mom and hello (again) to Wyobraskamom(Ship2Div925),
My son is HM also and I was surprised to discover that he is in this division. In the one personal letter we received last week, there were no details regarding his role in the division. I was hoping for a letter today...no luck, maybe there will be another one soon. Hope all is well with your SR!

ok, Its not just an HM thing, the 900 divsion series are those who have been selected to perform special duties while in boot camp. This could be anything from MA's to door guards to ushers to drill teams to bands to whatever special duty needs to be filled. This usuall warrants a meritorious promotion after graduation but not always. They will have to work twice as hard as the regular ruecruits so when they graduate they have accomplished so much more than the others. Yes my daughetr is an Corpsman

Your Welcome, Glad we have a place to all touch base. It's great to get all the tidbits from each other, helps keep us all informed. I know they are really working soooo hard, to succeed at the top.
No letter today here either, hopefully tomorrow! :) feels like it's been forever. He's been living on his own for years, but it's the knowledge that they are facing so many challenges and they are unable to communicate with us as they usually did that makes it so tough! Uggh! I'm sure our SR's are giving it their ALL!!!

My SR is in Ship 2 DIV 925 as well. He is on the armed drill team and stated in his note on the form letter that he was put second in command and asked us to wish him luck on that. (Maybe a little nervous)
We are from Texas.
Not sure if anyone keeps up with the RTC facebook page, but they post pictures of each PIR. Those who are performing will perform at PIR's before their own. I am looking forward to when those pics post to maybe catch a glimpse of my SR!
