I just read on BATTLE STATIONS group discussion- that if a SR does not pass the first time they will go again with another Division and sometimes the night before PIR- in which case they will be too tired to march in PIR but will be in the balcony watching the ceremony.
Thanks for the information, I think this is now the most nerve racking since my SR left!
Me too- I guess we don't want any calls until we know it is after they should be done with battle stations- because it could mean that they did not pass something. But- I am sure that if our 149 guys did not pass something we would know by now...because if they don't then they don't go to battle stations until they do pass. I am going to be so relieved when this is over- I can only imagine what their nerves are like.
I'm praying for our SRs who will go through BS tonight. I think I'm more nervous than they are.  lol  B said his phone call is supposed to be tomorrow at 2:00. I can't wait. I'm tearing up every time I think about it.

Received a letter from my SR today- sounded so up beat and looking forward to getting Battle Stations behind them.

He said he wants to get off base, go to a restaurant and have time to eat! Steak and lobster!!

I will be Praying for all our SR's going through tonight- I am so proud of all of them!

Hey Navymom,

We got a letter too.  He was in a hurry so it was short but sweet.  Does your son write in small block letters?  R's letters are so small  I need my reading glasses.  Maybe they encourage this?!  Oh well.  Just think, we will soon be able to talk more freely and email and all of that good stuff.  One week to go!!!   Yee ha!

Yes- They have to learn to write that way. I only know because J's Navy Chief Friend told me that they have to learn to write this way - Navy way - for log books and such.  He also said that I should compare his first letter to his last letter and should see an improvement. I don't really, but J has always written this tiny and nice, so i don't think it was difficult for him. It does look neater though!  HA HA

I don't think I will sleep tonight -

I know what you mean about sleep!  And then tomorrow, I can't be at home when he calls home.  My husband will be and I guess that's all that matters but I hope he can call on my cell also.  He made two calls during the last call time and I hope he can this time also.
I did compare the first letter  to this one and yes there is quite a difference.  And you know, his letters impress me the way he talks.  It's like... is this the same R that left us two months ago.  I can not wait to see him.

B has always written this way. We call it microscopic handwriting. Since we homeschooled I was used to reading it-though it is difficult to decipher sometimes.

I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight, either. I just started a pot of hot tea. I suppose they're getting ready right now!

Only one more hour to go until they start Battle Stations 21!!!!!!!!!!    I don't think I will get any sleep either, but my house will be very clean by the morning!   I have not prayed this much in a long time.

I think I have been in constant prayer without ceasing- now I know what that turelly means!! HA! Only 25 minutes and it begins!  HOO YAH!!!!!

I am home teleworking tomorrow - don't think much work will get done!!!
