NO?  Could you send me a link?  Thanks.

I would love to but unfortunately I am not very savvy about that sort of thing. If you go to my page you can click on the Moms of Rescue Swimmers (it's towards the middle of my page) and it will take you right over to their site.

I saw your post on Boot Camp Moms that you are waiting until your husband gets home to open your letter. My hubby promised the same thing last week. I'd better remind him of that promise before he leaves work today. I just hope that they are adjusting and starting to "enjoy" bc. Maybe since they didn't get to write early we won't get those letters that others got saying they don't think they can make it thru but instead saying they are doing great (or at least surviving the training).

Just got home, no letter again today.  I was really anticipating one. Really bringing me down. Maybe tomorrow.  I did write him a fifth letter and sent it out today. This no news is good news mantra is getting tougher and tougher to believe in.   I will just busy myself and hope for the best.  Still share any news any of you get from your SR.....would love to hear it.

I had my daughter go to the mailbox and none for me either.  The bad thing is, my son hates to write even though he promised me he would.  The other bad thing is when I got his box his stamps and envelopes were shipped back, so I hope he has time to go to the PX to buy those items.

My son also hates to write but I know he will, he knows how important it would be to us to receive a letter. I only sent him with stamps, nothing else. I'm going to try to not focus so much on this and try to think of it as he's busy, focused and not needing to vent or complain.  Maybe we will get a phone call instead!  I did send him with a calling card as well. You?

I got letters today!!!!!!!   yayayayaya  especially since I leave tomorrow on a trip for my class reunion...  wow!!  some ways he seems the same and other ways he seems to have changed over night.  I loved reading his introspection on things... he says he has learned more about himself than the Navy at this point...  we laughed we cried....  I am relieved..  he is doing all right says the days are long...  that it takes forever to get to noon each day!!  (especially when in the summer he would sleep until noon  lol!!!  :)))))

Congrats!, Brenda. Glad to hear that all is well. I can't wait to get home and see if we got one and what he has to say. Did you get just one or more than one? Oh, and by the way, enjoy your class reunion.

That's great Brenda!  I can't wait to get home and see if there's a letter!  Not sure if one would come today though since I'm in TX.  I check every day and just keep sending my letters every day!

I've booked my flight and rental car for PIR.  Has anyone booked hotel yet?  If so, where are you staying?  I know there are a few meet and greets, but I think it would be fun if we planned on going to the same meet and greet since our SR's are in the same ship/div!

Navy GF - Staying at the Ramada Inn, I've heard good and bad, I'm sure we will deal just fine.  My father in law will be driving in (hubby and I are flying in) so we will have his car as our transportation.  I contacted Sarge for airport transportation.  Ramada has a meet and greet, but I'm inclined to go to Sarge's at the Sundance. Looks like more fun...dancing, free food and as I can see he is a wealth of information.  That's our plans so far.

He wrote from 7/15 and continued to 7/19 a few lines a day....   His girlfriend also go several pages from the 7th forward  (it took him longer to miss me than her  lol!!) looks like our 818 boys missed the sunday 7/15 mailing and must have mailed the following sunday the 22nd.

We are booked for the Ramada (both good and bad reviews.. took the chance wanted the price w/pool)

Take care I am off to pack feeling much lighter for my week long vaca and 30th class reunion!!

Ry's Mom - So happy for you!  I'm so hoping mine will come tomorrow.  Sounds like he's as busy as we thought they would be. I am also wondering how my son is possibly surviving on as little sleep as he's getting now.  I say that with a lot of sarcasm....he used to sleep until noon as well!

I got 2 letters today in the mail (in one envelope) marked # 1 & # 2. In # 1 he said its hard and he's always sore. He told me to tell his best friend, who goes in September to learn everything he can before he gets there. #2 sounded a little better. He misses us. Guess what, right after I read the letters, HE CALLED!!!!!!!  I almost couldn't talk when I saw the area code. It does say pay phone also. I'm almost crying right now while he talks to his dad. He made section leader (at least for now, I know that can be taken away for almost anything). So ladies, keep your phones nearby, they ARE CALLING.
