Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My daughter in law and i are wondering how the navy sends back the box of their clothes and such when they get to bmt.  My son went in may 5th so we havent heard from him yet.  my daughter n law lives in an apt and doesnt want ups leaving it on the stairs.  so i need to know if it goes through the mail or ups.. thanks for the help and if anyone has a child that went in may 5th  love to hear from u  thanks  soozie

I got my husband box on May 7 delivered by FEDEX BTW he arrived in BC May 4. I'm still waiting for the letetr that has his address hope to get it this week.
You could have gotten his address last week from his Recruiter he already has that in the computer. Good Luck to you and write alot of letters.

You next BIG thing probably around week 2 you'll get a real letter from him hopefully and week 3 the 1st phone call and don't worry, he's safe and always remember No News is Good News!! If you DON"T hear from him between now and then that's GREAT News! Again, Good Luck
thank u so much for the response. lastnight when my daughter n law got home it was there waiting for her. we are still waiting for the letters. hope u r well. i can relate to how you are feeling. I have so many different emotions from sadness to excitement. i havent had a good nights sleep in a week. im sure it all will be good though! thanks again for the help sooozie
We received our box via Fedex as well and although I was home - they left it at the door. It took nine days to get our son's address, sometimes it takes a few days longer to put a division together.
Thanks for the help. we got it! it took a week for his. It was quite emotional but no "help me letter" lol im sure he is doing fine. I am thankful for this website and to all of you! what a journey this will be for all of us thanks again soozie
