Hi everyone,
My son leaves today Sunday, April 3 at 2 PM. I'm so upset and can't stop crying. I don't want him to go and I wish I could stop him. He is only 18 and still so very young in many ways. I want to know how did you all deal with this because I feel so alone and sad. I look forward to the support I can get here and I hope to become an active member in this site. Thank you and God Bless you all especially our loved one's serving.

Lisa,
I finally got the letter today with the address and graduation information. My son is Div 184 and graduates on 5-27-11.
JO I'm so happy for you. Now you can mail all your letters to him. May 27 is around the corner too, I hope thats when my son graduates too. I will let you know. I will be glued to my mailbox tomorrow. I will let you all know. I've got a bunch of letter to mail out to him. I know he is going to tell me slow down on the mail. Thanks for sharing.
Many blessing to you all.
Lisa
HI Jo and everyone,
I finally got the letter with the address. I had to fill out the address on my 4 evelopes with 3 pages in each envelope quickly to catch the mailman before he left the area so my letters would be send out to him. So cute he wrote a little note on the bottom of the page telling me he is doing well and so far he hasn't been yelled at. I'm so proud of him.
His graduation is May 27,just like you Jo. I feel so happy to hear from my son.
Be well and good luck everyone,
Lisa
I haven't gotten my letter yet as of April 12th! I have letters to send! I'm hoping to get it today, so I can give it to his friends and my family! It's so weird going home to an empty house. I expect to see his car in the driveway, and getting mad that it's there, because I have to put my car in first! Now, I miss seeing his car there. I know I'm having trouble coping with change. I went thru the same strange change when my father died. Can't sleep, have more headaches, empty feeling. I miss his jokes, and laughter. Hurry up 7 weeks! I'm going crazy! Thanks for listening, ladies. I'm not really crazy, just a mom!

Lisa I like your thinking and it's good advice. Thank you.
I pray your Sunday will be gentle and the emotions don't get to you. YOu sound like a very strong person and that always helps. I've been writing letters everyday to my son who left last Sunday, and this helps me. I'm not strong and to make matters worse my mom is very ill with stage 4 cervical cancer and I've been having other personnel problems so I know what emotions can do to you. Time goes by so fast and this gives comfort to know we will be with the ones we love the most soon.
Thanks for sharing and I hope to get to know you better. Plese continue to share with us all.

He's in SHIP 11 DIV 186. Now I have something to look forward to in June! Well, better get some more letters written! Thanks for everyone's support!
Lois
I'm so happy for you Lois. I know how good it feels to hear from our children. Take care and keep sharing.
