Son left on 9/7/10 Ship 12 Division 354. Anyone else's son/daughter here?

Received the "kid in the box" on Thursday. He actually called yesterday. I didn't expect him to call so soon and we were outside working in the yard. He was able to get a hold of his grandmother and I happened to come in the house and checked the phone and saw missed call "pay phone". I was so upset. But he did call back, only had 2 minutes but at least we got to hear his voice. Hope others were able to get a call too. I will keep the phone with me 24/7 from now on. :)

it looks like your PIR date is 10/29 here is the link to the group, if it isn't, then just leave it and join the right group http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir102910
my husband left for bootcamp on sept. 9th. It is the 21 and i still have not recieved anything from him, not even his box. i did get the call the same night. I was wondering if you have recieved his deers papers or his pir date?
Hi Yes, I recieved a call from him on Sept. 7th saying he was there. About 4 days later received the box and a call on Sept. 11th. I also recieved a form letter with his PIR date. Oct. 29th. Your husband is probably in a different ship and division than my son. Other Mom's/Wive's in my son's division have had the same schedule as me. I didn't expect to get anything or a call until week 3. Hopefully you will get something this week! Hang in there!
Hi...my son is in the same group. He called me 2 Saturdays ago and said things were going well...he said he's managed to go un-noticed which is a good thing. I haven't gotten any letters from him yet but I'm hoping. He might have written to his mom..she and I are divorced and he lived with her. He's going into the Nuclear program and will be down in Charleston, SC for the next 2 years once he gets through basic. I'm really anxious to hear how he's doing and what kinds of experiences he's having. It's good to "meet" other parents with a son or daughter in the same group.
here is the link to your PIR group, it will be your lifeline, just click on the http address http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir102910
