Well, that's not the answer I was looking for! I spent 22 years in the Army and I compare the "middies" to when we would get Cadets in the summer and they would be part of our team. I guess a "middie" like a Cadet would only be as successful as the mentors they are given...if you let people get away with crap, they will. Don't come on with the attitude that they are the same, some are there to LEARN because they worked hard to get a scholarhsip and have to LEARN, not flirt. I hope my son gets a mentoring Navy person who will help guide him in the right direction on Navy life and be hard when they have to. I understand the frustration on your part, but hope not all have that attitude.
thank you very much for the positive answer. I may be new to the Navy, but not the military. I have high expectations of my son being an officer. He was raised with two enlisted people who worked very hard and have strong work ethics. I know we taught him a thing or two while growing up ;) Thank you Navy wife621!!!!
COOL NavyWife...we shall call you "Sherlock" from now on !!!
this is great.....I see you ladies are here for support and to mentor us 'newbies'. I appreciate it for my sake and my son's.
I find comfort in being around others going through the same thing.....there is strength in numbers. Good luck to your husband, may he breeze through bt. Let us know his progress. We are rooting for our Navy boys :)
