I received the call last night, around 11PM central time. When I saw his sweet face appear on my phone I thought it was going to be him telling me he was fixing to get on the bus and head to the base, since our last text was that he had landed and was fixing to get briefed for the bus...boy was I wrong. After answering and hearing the dreadful, "hey, Im calling to let you know that I made it and I'm ok..." do they really not know that we have heard, read, and watched video's of the script they are told to say? Why can't they be like,"hey, I'm here, nervous as hell miss you already, etc etc"...let us be real instead of immediate robots. BUT its not in the system.

Now I wait for the BOX...which I know he has something in there for me...thank goodness. Something from him to help with the in-between of NO communication. I have already started writing a letter so he will probably received a package from me not a letter LOL once I get that address. I sure hope these 9 weeks fly by. I miss him already and he just left yesterday!!! I pray our kids handle not being able to see or talk to him alright too, for now, at least until the next move.....Then it's on to San Antonio.

Any other moms or wives heading to TX after BC?

I completely understand. When my daughter called, it was almost like she was a robot. I knew that she was reading from a script. After she talked to me, she said, "Where is Dad?" She then said the exact same thing to him. Once she hung up, he started balling!!!
