Hi!

My daughter was taken off her ship and sent back to San Diego for medical treatment on 1/21/10. The only thing I know is that she is in med holding and I have a room and building number. She was able to call me on 1/22/10 late in the evening to tell me that she was told to go to the emergency room at Balboa Hospital. She called me after they had run tests on her and I haven't heard from her since.

Do you know of any way that I can get in contact with the base at San Diego to see if I can get in contact with her and find out how she's doing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

How long has she been in? I call my recruiter for questions like this but if you do not get a response I can call my nephew who is a higher up and get an answer for you.
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter and the lack of info so far! You must be going out of your mind with worry. Did you get a POA before she left? (Power of Attorney) I know it is harsh, but if you didn't, calling the hospital will probably do you no good because of the confideniality clause. I hate that clause even though I understand it's revelenace and all that goes with it. I would go with Paula's good advice for now and call your daughter's recruiter for help. I just added you all to my prayer list and will start praying ASAP. Lynnetta, they say that no news is good news so I hope that holds true with this situation. You both will be in my prayers!!! Please keep us posted on how she is doing. Cindi
Lynnetts, here is a # you can try... (619) 532-6400 Naval Medical Center San Diego. Best of luck to you!
Paula & Cindi, I can't thank you enough for your helpful advice. My daughter was able to call me today and give me the phone number in her room! What a relief!

Cindi, I do have a POA but I was starting to panic and didn't even think of it. I told my daughter that I was going to be the one to put her in the hospital if she took that long to let me know what's going on again.

Thank you again and God bless!
Oh Lynnetta--I am so glad you heard from her!! Is she okay? I laughed about what you told her--you are a funny MOM! : )
