Hi, I just joined last night. I signed up pretty quickly before I went to bed, and only filled out the required stuff. Now, I got on today and I noticed that my profile has a picture, maybe I'm crazy, but I do not think I added that picture. It's a very old picture of me, not the one I would have chosen to ad at all, and I couldn't even find it on my computer until I went through every folder, and found it three folders in. It took several minutes to find it, and I had to go past several better pictures of me to get to it.  I even remember wanting to ad the photo of my and my boyfriend at his christmas party which is in the first picture folder I have. Why would I skip that one and ad I photo of me before I even met him? So I'm am like 99% sure I did not put the photo up of me, and I was wondering if the mods or something looked up my myspace or something and put it up. I am kind of creeped out by this and was just wondering where the photo came from.

I mean, no I don't think they would. I just don't know where the photo came from. I just know that it wasn't me who put it up. I was wondering if there was an explanation as to where it came from. The mods putting it up was the first thing that came to mind as to how it might have gotten there. I'm just concerned that someone went on my name who wasn't me and added it, though that would be pretty weird too since nothing else has been changed. The whole thing is just weird, and I was hoping someone could find an explanation that didn't sound crazy.
Not sure - but here is one possible explanation. This website is run by Ning! Now, I am not sure who or what Ning is - but I know they use Ning. Other websites also use Ning. If you EVER were a member of another social networking website that used Ning, they probably used the same picture.
This happened to me. I joined another Ning site and they just automatically used the picture that I had posted here.

Just a possible suggestion as to what might have happened!
oh thanks! maybe that's it. I did use this photo for stuff years ago.
Not a problem. You in the Navy (hubby) son or daughter?? My son is stationed in Portsmouth - but deployed right now.
My boyfriend is in the navy in Norfolk, so your son isn't stationed too far from where we live.
whew - more recent picture?? Yes, I've been to Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Portsmouth a couple of times! I LOVE watching the sun rise on Virginia Beach!! BEAUTIFUL!!

What does your BF do? Mine is a MA - with a MSRON squadron and deployed right now.
He's a Gunner's mate in the process of switching to rivron um.. I think 3, but I'm not 100% sure of the number. He's getting off his current ship just in time to skip their deployment which is nice since he was gone for 7 months less than a year ago.
