Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Strider223. Congratulations and welcome to California. Our son will also be attending USC in the fall too. We are so proud too. This is quite an amazing feeling. When are you come in June? We will be there at the end of the month. You might want to call the school's NROTC office. This week is graduation week so they might not be in often. The kids can't get into the dorms until mid August so I am figuring the timeline will be about the same. Hope to meet you soon.

His orientation is June 28, 29 and we are hoping to find out more details for when the Navy will want him in California! I see the dorm check in day is August 22. Maybe we will meet at orientation, if you are there those same days!

Sorry I missed seeing your post until now. My son is a MIDN 1/C, Marine option (senior) at USC. So he was one of them doing the yelling at O-week this year. Since classes have already started you know the answers to your question now. Hopefully you had all your questions answered. This is an amazing program and my son has loved every minute of it, well maybe not the 5am PT. Thanks for the reply, he is all moved in and we heard all about"O" week when we came out to help him move in. he said it was much harder than he thought it would be..he thought it would be hard, just not that hard! Said he was glad he did it, though not while doing it! the swearing in was very nice, I was so glad we were out there for that! Iwill check out the ROTC site!
