Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son's best friend is on the USS Truman and on my Facebook, yesterday he wrote on Facebook saying that he was enjoying shore leave at port.

I have a son on the USS Truman. I heard from him last night. He said he is enjoying his shore leave.
My husbands on the truman, I usually get a couple emails from him daily, They just pulled out the port they were in, they had 4 days of port visit.. So things today are pretty crazy im sure. Please remember they are several hours ahead of us all, ie 8 for va... Cant wait for my sailor to be home!! :)
hello" missing him" (: my son (truman also) called me a few times in the last couple of months, these calls were short where at times we were cut off. i could here the timer. last time was on my bday in july. he's sent me 3or4 emails in august. he's managed to talk to his /wfe/kids who live in va beach a couple of times a week. this past august. i called my daughternlaw this evening 8/31/10 and she said that he was 2 busy to answer my emails right now(i know he didn't say it like that). but im goning to continue to keep him uplifted like ive been doing for over 21 years! continue to write him, email him and send him packages and pray with and for him. and always let him know how proud of him i am ,how much i love him, and remind him to be safe. and i will pull my hair out b4 i say anything negative to him. please listen up navy family.Please be positive with your loved one, keep them safe!
