Hi Alma, My son is the RCPO for this group, in his next letter I will ask him how Danny is doing. He said the group as a whole was doing good. Debbie
if it's not too much trouble, would you ask your son to mention to Danny that he has not received any pay. Thank you again.....Alma
Hi Alma, I am from Dracut, MA , my daughter has been in the Navy for 11/2 years now, please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Hi Kathy, How long did it take for your hear from your daughter when she was in boot camp? I missed a call from Danny 2 weeks ago. He is not a good letter writer. I've sent him a bunch of letters, but nothing from him. I am a little worried, because the message he left he was upset. Said it was very hard, but not quitting! My daughter keeps telling me that no news is good news. I guess it's right, because i would think that if he washed out (it would crush him) i would have heard from him by now. So sorry to sound a bit negative, but he is a mama's boy and I miss him more than I can say. How is your daughter doing? is she on a ship or state side?
It was about 3 1/2 weeks before I heard from her or got a letter, they usually mail all letters from BC on Sundays, but they can receive letters everyday. He will write, a lot say they wont but then they do eventually, if it was my son he probably wouldnt write me either. Try not to read too much into him being upset, they all go through it, they break them down and then build them up, he will be completely different next time you talk to him. His division will learn to work as a team and it will get easier for him. If he is not thinking of quitting that is positive, (would not be a smart choice for him) its tough for them but he will be fine. He is in a safe location, getting 3 meals a day, clean laundry, and getting paid for it! LOL When you are thinking about him, think about him ironing in the middle of the night, they all have to do it. I didnt know my daughter knew what an iron does, let alone use it and buy herself one! My daughter is actually home on leave right now, and is having a great time with her friends. She is stateside when she goes back but is going out on her ship soon for a 45 day "cruz" for workups towards deployment. Keep in touch, I will answer whatever questions I can. Your daughter is right, and you will need that motto for many times ahead, "No news is good news" Hope you can get to his PIR, it is a once in a lifetime event.
thank you so very much for your kind words. I feel a little better. And yes, I am planning on going to his PIR. Is that graduation? LOL. still learning the language. Thank you to you and your daughter for the help.
Alma, Did Danny set up a automatic account, Our sons went into his account the 1st. In my next letter to Michael I will ask about Danny. Don't worry, if something was wrong they would contact you. We will be at PIR also, the meet and greet is Thursday Night at the Ramada. Come join group ship10div256 on this site. Also group PIR date 7/30/10. On our groups we try to keep everyone up to date when we receive letters and let each other know what is going on with the div. What hotel are you staying at? Debbie
Debbie, as far as I know, Danny set it up for the payments to go to his account here at home. He also, set up and allotment to go to mine. But he has not gotten anything. So I am a little worried that his pay is in limbo somewhere. My daughter and I are driving down, not sure if we'll make the meet and greet on time. But I look forward to meeting you at the PIR. Maybe we can exchange cell numbers and meet up. We don't have reservations yet. I just reserved the car, next step is hotel....Alma
Alma, Need to hurry and make reservations there are 11 div with 88 in each div graduating that weekend. We are also driving up from south GA. It is 16 hr trip for us but we are leaving early Wed. morning so we should get in Thursday Afternoon. I will do a friend request where we can give each other info. Debbie
thank you. i will try to do it this weekend. partly is has to do with money. that's why danny had alloted the money. he will not be happy, when he finds out that something went wrong. i don't want to bother him with this. thanks debbie.....alma
