My son left for BC on July 1.  Anyone else have a son or daughter that left on that same date?  He's on Ship 4, but not sure about the division.

Hi, my son left for bc july 8th,, and I miss him too,, have you heard from your son?? I still havent recieved the package and dont know his ship or div.. I did get a phone call from him tellling me he lost his wallet and all his documents, so I had to run around and get everything I could, and order things like ss card, but he gave me a ship and div just to send it too, I dont think
thats where is permanetly.. Hang in there, I know its tough, this site helps alot!!!! your son will be fine , and so will you!!!
Hi there - Thanks so much for responding! Yes, I received his box early last week and then the form letter this past Saturday. That's when they send you their mailing address. You should be getting all that this week I bet. So I can at least write him letters now, and hopefully I'll get one from him soon. They let them write a few comments on the bottom of the form letter, but not much - but at least it's something! Thanks for the words of encouragement - it helps alot to know someone else is sharing the same feelings I am.
If you want to find out your sons address, go to his recruiter they can give it to you.
I haven't received a letter from my son yet - Ship 04, Div. 286 - PIR date 8-27-2010. Wondering if any moms with sailors in this same division have received any letters yet?? Let me know if you're heard anything! Thanks!
Hi there! My son is Ship 04, Div 285.. I have received one letter from him but thats it..it was dated on July 4th..One of the other mothers said she got three letters last week so maybe you and I will be recieving a letter soon. Hang in there!!
Hi Zac's Mom! That's good to hear - I've only received his form letter so far, so anxious to hear from him.
oh I know me too...keep checking the mail everyday..think the one letter makes it worse..lol...his letter to me actually beat his form letter..have you booked your room at Great Lakes yet and are you coming to our meet and greet that Thurs??
We haven't booked a hotel yet - have you? If so, which one did you pick? I haven't responded to the Meet & Greet yet, but am planning on it.
Hi there, my daughter left for BC june 28, we've rec'd about 5 letters from her so far. I understand that sometimes they dont get to write if their group gets into trouble. I think they can write on Sundays, as family, we will be sending WAY more than we will receive, at least that's how I'm thinking about it! Be patient, it will come....
