We have only received one letter about 2 and half weeks ago. We have not received any phone calls.  Should we be concerned?

Sounds like your SR is very busy.  I received 3 letters on Wednesday from my son.  I think the reason he had time to write so much was because he was sick and on restricted activity. I think otherwise they try to get their rest when they get to the barracks. Also he said they usually only have time to write on Sundays and they also have ironing and polishing to do then as well.  Are you going to be able to go to PIR on Feb. 3?

I missed my son's phone call yesterday and unfortunately he did not leave a message. I am yet to hear anything about his PIR. I am assuming it is on the 3rd of Feb, but how do I know for sure. Do you know if I should have received an information packet at this point? He started bootcamp Dec 5.left for MEPS on Dec. 4th.

You should have definitely received something by now.  Did you get the original form letter with the short note on the back from your son?  That came about 2 to 3 weeks after they left.  My son left Dec. 5 as well.  If you haven't received anything since the form letter that said PIR is Feb 3rd then it still is.  If he got ASMO's I think they would have let you know already. So like they say, no news is good news.

I never received the form letter. I've only received one personal letter on Dec 27th. I missed a call two days ago.He did not leave a voicemail so I'm sure what's going on. Do you think he would of left a message if he got ASMO'd?

I'm sure he would have left a message and you would probably be notified by the Training Center.  Do you know his recruiter?  You might want to ask about the form letter.  There is a sample form letter on this site in the bootcamp moms page I think.  That might give you some more info.  Were you planning on going to the graduation?

Yes we are planning to attend the graduation. We want to get our plane tickets and room reservations done soon.

Lizzyb, you really need that form letter because it has a password to get into the graduation and it has a way to get a parking pass to get on base.

I am going to call his recruiter tomorrow about the form letter. Thanks for your help.
