Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey guys looking for people with 03/056 to share the ride with.

Whoever has a facebook, if you like the navy recruit training command page then go to forums I started a 03/056 there also, the more we can pick up from our division the more information we can swap once everyone starts getting phone calls and letters. I know I'll take any info on my kid I can. <3

any real letters yet???

I got 4 letters today.  He said 03  055 and 056 are grouped together.  Hope you all get letters soon too. His were postmarked the 19th and got to WI on the 21st.

 

There is only one other Mom on the 055 group it's pretty lonely there.  More action on the facebook group.

 

I wish you all a Merry Christmas  I'm praying for them all.

I am from Oklahoma and my son left 12/5.  I received four sentences on his form letter.  I was beginning to think he would not be able to write.  But I am glad to hear the letters are going out.

When did your son leave??? I'm really hoping for one....

I received my first "real" letter today! It was short but very sweet! I can't believe that they have taken his wisdom teeth out already!

My son is Ship 03 Division 056! He left. 12/5 from Florida. Corpsman. I just received a letter

Where in Florida are you from? My son left the same date and he is also going corpsman, We live in Sarasota. I got my first letter today. I'm under the impression they only get to write on Sundays. Maybe we will get some calls on Christmas..

I received a letter yesterday!!  My bf left 12/5.  He had his wisdom teeth out and he said boot camp is fine, it's tolerable, not as bad as he's heard at all!  He said to keep my phone turned on and up, especially on christmas so fingers crossed!

We live in Melbourne on the East Coast!  Our son left from Jacksonville, FL 12/5.  We hope to hear from him on Christmas also!  I hope to receive more letters.  Our you attending the PIR?
