I like the "be flexible" part of the motto!

Yeah...like this!

I'll just say it again...so glad I have you all to share this journey with!

Just call me Flexible!!

Okay, I think we will be going to Sarge's thing on Thursday night, but not only do we have our 15 year-old son with us, but also our 7 and 5 year old kids.  Do you think they could go?  I am sure our oldest would watch them at the hotel since they may be tired from traveling all day.  We ended up renting a car so that we have some freedom to get around.  The weather sounds rainy, but may be a welcome relief from our snow and wind!  Can't wait to meet some of you!

I am in the same boat.  We are traveling with our 10 and 16 year old.  I know that kids can attend because I read that somewhere. I think I am going to play it by ear to see what time we actually get settled into our hotel and how tired everyone is. I RSVP'd as a "maybe".

Hello  .....I got a phone call tonight from my SR:)  It was so good to hear his voice!!  He sounded good  we talked for about 10 minutes or so  ....only 17 days to PIR!  So glad to hear from him....my husband came in from work while we were on phone so he got to talk to him for a couple of minutes too.   This was a great day!   Hope everyone is doing well.  Take care allie

Denise22CA, reminder, make sure to have the proper ID for the kids. I believe Birth certificates will do for the younger one and does the 16 year old have a DL?  I just read on the RTC Facebook they require ID for young one but didn't pay close enough attention as it did not apply to me.

PHONE CALL HERE TOO!!  Had a great conversation. I had wished I had taken notes!  ALSO, wish I had written down the six  hundred and fifty seven thousand questions I had for him!

He sounded good, said they were busy busy busy. Written test tomorrow. Weather cold, everything white.

He had his picture taken in  his Dress Blues and ordered t-shirts and pics. I cannot wait to see them.

Thanks for the advice Gayle. I did see that about the kids and I have copies made of birth certificates and my older son does have a license. We also got a call today from our SR. Today was his birthday so that worked out well for all of us! All sounded good. We are so excited to see our SR too!

Happy Birthday to you SR! I am so glad you got the call today.....I know you must have wanted very much to with him Happy Birthday!

I understand that Ship 07 Div is a push div.  Does anyone know what week and day our SE's are in?  Do we have a date for BS...It is getting close.

What does push Division mean?   I talked to our son on the 16th...he did not know when Battlestations were..i keep aksing him in my letters cause I want to be home for the "I am a Sailor"  call...:)

We are 5-3 Friday and 5-4 Monday!
Firefighting and confidence chamber during week 5 right?!
Push division is...,.,a division made to meet numbers I think.
They usually go through faster. I know someone can explain it better than I.
Let me see if I can find out!!
