Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

PIR was amazing, Good Luck and enjoy to all who are going this week.   Word of advise please leave plenty of time to get your Sailor back to his barracks some have a lot of walking involved.

I wish I had met more of our mom's at PIR. Everything happened so fast when they called liberty, what a madhouse! My son left for A school mid morning on Saturday following PIR, so we had very little time to spend with him. I am grateful we were able to attend PIR, I would encourage all parents, spouses, significant others to do whatever you can to attend. The ceremony itself is very moving.

I hope many of you want to continue sharing stories on this page. I honestly have no idea what I would have done if I hadn't found this group of wonderful people. :)

what a wonderful week with my new sailor, so proud of him. I would of loved to bring him back to california with us but I know he has to stay. Will be a long flight home tomorrow.

Chimelle:  So that's what a proud Sailor looks like! LOL.  Congratulations to all of you.  Ours are only on week 4-2 (although they've been there 6 weeks and one day!) so we have a good haul left.  Thank you for sharing your picture!!!
