PIR is an amazing experience, ladies! I cried, laughed, smiled. My 2 favorite parts of the ceremony were when they lifted the doors and our Sailors were all lined up and when they all sang Anchors Aweigh. The sound went right through me. We only had Friday with him and went to the airport to see him off. Do try to get to the airport if you can. Security is a hassle, parking is expensive, but the extra moments you have with your son is worth every bit of trouble. And after BC communication is wonderful. The 8 weeks at GL is trying, both for them and you, but it does get better!

We're at the Ramada here in Waukegan. I can't believe we get to see our Sailors tomorrow morning! It's pretty chilly and overcast today. The hotel is really close to the base-we passed the road on the way. Anxious to meet everyone at the M&G tonight! We'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! It won't be long and the rest of you will be here for your SRs PIR, too!

Hello! It is hard to beleave the first March'ers have PIR this week! That is CRAZY. B seems to be doing good. No letters today but I am hoping that is because of the weather. Praying for a letter tomorrow! Y'all have FUN! It will not be long and we will be there too!
