For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Anyone? Ship 2 Division 947
My son is with this division. I have received my form letter but haven't received his box or even an I'm here phone call. He doesn't have any musical talents and doesn't necessarily like being in the public eye. Just wondering why he's in the 900 division. Would love to here from other moms in this division.

Hi Flor, After questioning my son about the 947 Division, he said he'll just be marching, not carrying a flag. He sounded good though. I guess he's studying pretty hard for some E-2 test. I'm just happy to here from him.

my son is ship 02, Div 947. he said he will be carrying the rhode island flag. he isnt musically inclined, and all in all not a big fan of the spot light. We got the box, and the form letter, and then on sunday his girlfriend got a 30 min phone call. Today we got a couple of letters in one envelope.
It has been hard, especially since his girlfriend is his go to for important info, and shes not very reliable when it comes to providing us with those details in an accurate or timely fashion.
