Haha I thought so too! And I read the cute parts to all my friends and they love it!
Its funny how they have to write in all caps too!
Is anyone have a son - Ross?

KKristen,

My son is Ross, from Ar! I'm still trying to figure out  to navigate my way around these groups, etc. I believe he told me he made a friend from Ca. Calls are so emotional I don't remember much of conversations. He is carrying Ar flag. He says he likes it but really misses family. He doesn't give me much info about PIR or his "A" school so I don't know when he leaves IL. How is yours doing?

Our phone calls are emotional too. We're a bit rushed on the phone so i can't get all the info I would like. (I'm not sure he knows). I don't know about A school either. I hope I can find out when he leaves after PIR. It will probably dictate when I go home. My son is "back up" ... I guess there are lots of people so he doesn't have a flag. He says he misses home as well. I hope we get another call soon. :0). Blessings

Hi everyone,

I've posted a few times, not really sure if I'm posting correctly but I'm trying to stay as connected as I can as I'm not much of a computer person.

My daughter  (Kass) will be holding the Idaho Flag for graduation (I cannot wait to see the ceremony) and her nick name at Boot Camp is "KP" for the cartoon Kim Possible or they also call her Weezy.

Melissamom.... if you read this, are you Nielson's mom? I thought I sent a reply to you, but I can't seem to find it, so I"m not really sure I'm posting correctly?? Yes, we will see Kass for Thanks giving and I will be sure to give your daughter a hug for you, if I can't in person, I will have Kass give it to her for you.

For those of you who have a son/daughter in "Culinary" and thought they would be in A School at Great Lakes, looks like it's in Fort Lee, Virginia....And that was a shock to us last week as that changes a lot for us, since we live so close to Great Lakes and hoping to see her on weekends.

Candice

Good Morning!!! Yes I am her mom.  I sent you a message in your inbox on your page.  I hope you get it :)

Kass talks very highly of your daughter and I'm so happy they have each other for support on those harder days! Have you had a call recently or letter, and do you know anyone else on this site that knows our girls. Kass sent a letter and said it was "Hell" week and they have 2 very big inspections and a big test, and she can't wait for this week to be over!!!! She also mentioned they were give 50-60 definitions/questions on weapons and stuff and expected to have it memorized overnight...98% of the group got "dropped and beat" because they didn't have all the information memorized. She was bummed as she was hoping to get to graduation w/o being dropped since she was one of the very few who still hadn't been "dropped" yet.

Will you fly from Great Lakes to TX after graduation, do you know if they can have visitors on the Saturday and Sunday after they check into A School?

Have a fantastic weekend!!
