Are there other moms with SR's in this division? Would love to talk with you?

Hi Tami,
My son is in Ship 02 Div 916. Do you have any idea why they are graduating early?
Tori
Hi Torribug,
No I don't know. Did you get a call yesterday? I thought maybe their team did something excellent and they were given a phone call. Did you make your hotel reservations yet? We are staying at the Navy Lodge and one mom told me it was nice and newly renovated. Cheap too, $66 per night. Maybe we can meet on that Thursday night.
Tami
Hi Tami,
Tori is my real name. Would love to meet up with you Thursday night. I haven't made hotel reservations yet, so I will look into the Navy Lodge - that's a very good price.
Yes, I got a call on Saturday. It was really good to hear his voice. He sounded in very good spirits. A little bummed that they are taking longer to get things done than necessary because his fellow SRs talk too much, but he is confident that will get ironed out eventually. He was in a program called Young Marines when he was in 5th/6th grade (quit that because Boy Scouts and sports took up too much time), so he seems to be doing quite well with boot camp. He actually said that the weeklong Young Marines "boot camp" was harder than the first week of recruit training!
Hope your SR was also of good spirits and you had a good phone call with him or her.
We are from the Austin area (son was born/raised there), though just recently moved about an hour north of Houston. My son did his recruiting work through Lewisville while he was going to UNT. What part of the country do you call home?
Hi Tami,
My daughter is also in ship 02 Div 916. We didn't get a call from her and have not received letter yet except the
"Form Letter". I am quite worried. Do you have any news about their division? We are from California.

Hi y'all,
My daughter is in same ship/div and I got a call last weekend. She sounded very upbeat, homesick but ok. She volunteered to be Laundry Petty Officer...very uncharacteristic of my daughter, but made me sooo proud, Then I get my first letter today saying how much she hates bootcamp but at least admitted she knew it was only temporary (thank goodness she can see that). She said that she was stressed out due to upcoming inspections and lack of sleep. I was so pumped last week after the phone call so the letter him me like a ton of bricks. The roller coaster ride can stop any time... Just worried about her, but I know that she is strong or she would not have made it this far. Hope all of your recruits are doing well.
Hi everyone. My son is in Ship 02 Div 916, too. He said he will be carrying the Navy flag at graduation. Counting the Fridays!
My step daughter is in Ship 02 Div 916 :)
Hello All my wife is on ship 02 in Div 916. I thought that I would join the group to see how everyone is doing being away from their loved ones. Received a short letter yesterday, she had watch on Sunday so no time to write. She is nervous about the upcoming "Hell Week" Hoping for a call this weekend. Only 3 more weeks until Graduation Day!
Hang in there Johan, that is all any of us can do right now. I have faith that our loved ones will be okay. But I am counting down the days that I see my SR.
My step-daughter is in Ship 2 Div 916. I just recently stumbled upon this site last week and am working my way around it & in it. There is so much information on here ~ I wish I would have known about it before she left for BC.
I do not know why they are graduating early either. We missed her phone call one Sunday and have not received another one. She has spoken with her fiance a few times. So far we have only received 2 letters & she is doing well. :)
I am hoping to get a letter from her this week. She told her fiance she would not be getting to make another call until the 14th or 16th... :( I am honestly hoping to be surprised this weekend with a call.
Denise
Hey Denise my wife told me that they are getting liberty on Friday the 14th and going into Chicago. So should be getting some phone calls then. A call this weekend would be a great surprise.
