My son is in this division.

Finally, someone that can enlighten me on it, Thank You. Well, if you would be so kind? I know she is great w/comp. but it appears as if most of 900 Div. is music field? Yes/No? Please Help??  Thank You, Collin

Division 900 is call the performance division the triple threat ..drill with rifle..flag carriers....band they perform at the PIRs and parades if there is one I am new to this also and my son is a flag carrier. This is an honor for them to be in the 900 divisions because they have to be selected. Most are selected because of muscial talent or because they had ROTC or JROTC in high school. My son did ROTC all through high school so I am guessing that was why his was selected. They will perform for their PIR as well as the two PIRs before them so look for pictures posted prior to her PIR date. I hope this helps.

This is so exciting my daughter is in this div as well. She was a scholar athlete for 4 years in H.S I think that is why she was picked for this div. Thank you for the extra info I had no idea they will be performing at two PIRs before them . I will be looking forward to the pics.

Thank You very much! I do appreciate the info. Well, GREAT News Ya'll!! My son was doin' the "cha-cha"!!! YEA!! Got his 1st letter,Hot d83n! I still wanna find a way to get some kinda way to surprise the both of them w/a connection? Any ideas?? I do have Skype already installed, does that help?

           Thank You, Collin

How do I get a surprise communication thru internet? Or is there one yet? Or someone to ask about it?

         Thanks,harvhapy29.

For those of us who've been curious about 900 Divisions, I found this link that describes it.

http://www.ehow.com/list_7326104_requirements-navy-rtc-900-division...

Well, I went to those links and they didn't help w/the describing of her multiple duties, until harvhapy29 helped a little w/'splainin' a little of it being chosen, and a multiple thing.  I do believe I have it right now, right ??

At least she told my son(her bf) of her being on the computer division. Good to be able to chat w/another from the 900's.

As I asked harvhapy29,,if you know of any way to get in touch w/her for my son and her to have a surprise communication, Please let me know? Unless it has to wait until after Boot Camp. Thank You, Collin

Collin- as far as I know the only surprise communication is when they call us. Phone calls have to be schduled by the RDCs' and the division has to earn them. Most only get three calls (1)-I am here and safe (2). I am still alive which is usually three weeks in and the final (3) I am a sailor (after battle stations). Some divisions get more but again it depends on the RDCs and how well they (the division) are doing. I know this is probably not what you want to hear but, unfortunatly as I am finding out is how it works. However after bootcamp and they leave for A school (from my understanding) can communicate more often. I hope I have helped you and answered your question. In additon if they fail something or get hurt they call or rather are given the opportunity to call. So as I have been told no news is good news

OOHHH! (O: Well, as you said, no news is good news. Maybe she will give Hunter a call soon enough. Huh? Thank You for indeed answering my questions. According to the news she will be grad. in Dec. YEA!! So, they will be seeing each other soon enough.

                      God Bless, Collin

just found you all - my son is in 904
