Thank you everyone for the warm "welcome backs"

To all of the new members- Welcome to you! Sorry I was not able to welcome each of you as you joined us!

We talked to B yesterday, he sounds so good! Not so stressed now that he has finished the course he was struggling with.

Connie I didn't know your daughter had epilepsy, how old is she? Hope that she is in a time of control right now!

hey CC-wow.  i can imagine that ordeal for your son was very upsetting and frightening.  our daughter has epilepsy as well and it at times has been easy to control and harder at others. wishing both of you good health. a wedding this Christmas....how neat!!!  best wishes to the bride and groom!

So much to update on... B is hanging tough, was really struggling with his strand classes. Back in August he had what they thought was heat stroke one day in class. As it turns out he actually has a rare form of Epilepsy! Which really freaked him out! He thought he would be discharged immediately. But it is a very mild form which can be treated with meds and the Neuro said he can almost gaurantee that while on the meds he won't have any siezures.and that he will reccomend continued duty! So for now at least he is still in classes. They also determined that it affects the part of his brain that retains information. He has been having a tough time with classes and tests, to the point that he has been doing remedial studies and working with tutors. He failed a test and got cut back to phase 2 before they knew about this, since starting his meds is moving up quickly with his scores and has passed all of the subsequent tests he has taken. We are all so relieved! Hoping he will be home at Christmas, as that is when he and his fiance are planning to get married!! It should be such an exciting and happy holiday this year! Plus we are also having one of his buddies  come home to stay with us. We have an adopted Sailor! So much to look forward to and to be thankful for this year! Plus we are gaining a new Daughter and a new Sailor son!

TGIF - whoohoo for date night! It's only 10am and I already in need of a margarita :-)

Ryan has been enduring freezing temps already. I advised him to prepare his vehicle for these cold days & nights ahead; hopefully he listened...haha

Looks like a nice weekend ahead, yay. Husband started remoldeling the half bath downstairs. We need to work on the yard before the cold sets in for good. I am preparing to clean out our files and re-file paperwork; all this after my REAL job.
