I just figured out that if he wore 1 t-shirt a day, every day, I would only have to wash them 4 times a year!
If we went to a friends house and out for dinner once a month, (which I would have to say, DOESN'T happen) he could wear a different button down shirt for each occasion, and I wouldn't have to have them cleaned for over a YEAR!
Mind you, I dress for work/school, and probably repeat outfits no less than every 3 weeks. GO FIGURE!
Well, after me losing it yesterday because I am doing HIS clothes by myself, and him questioning me, I did a preliminary elimination, and he will finish it today and get EVERYTHING in his dresser. Actually, not getting to the closet today. That may have to wait until Christmas break...
Now there is the question of the ammo, gun paraphernalia and empty electronics/camera/computer boxes that I have pulled out of the corner and are sitting in the middle of the room waiting for him.
Mind you, I am supposedto be the MESSY one in the house. He claims to be neat and organized...
Signed,
Frustrated...
OK, I need to vent. I've spent most of the afternoon cleaning up my husbands "corner" of the room which includes his dresser and the PILES of clothing and asst stuff in front of it. I sorted his clothing. Before I give a partial list of what I found, let me preface by saying that:
1. He has a uniform service for work, so the only clothing from home is a pocket t-shirt, socks, and underwear
2. we live in South Florida
3. We go to New York every other Dec
4. We don't go out much- dinner out every couple of months, visit friends about as often
Now, here is what I found...
86 t shirts (with some kind of print/picture on it- almost half are either from the GatorNational, Snap-on tools, or the company he used to work part time for)
34 work t-shirts
19 long sleeve t-shirts (see #s 2 & 3 above)
12 long sleeve THERMAL shirts (see # 2 above)
29 button down short sleeve shirts (see # 4)
16 button down long sleeve shirts (#2 & 4)
19 pairs of jeans
43 pairs of shorts
6 pairs of flannel PJ pants (he sleeps in his birthday suit at home- see #3)
I KNEW he had a LOT of clothes, but the numbers blew me away.
I wonder how much I can ditch before he starts to squeal! (He is a pack rat, but duh! you already knew that.
Just for the record, I am a bit of a pack rat too. Especially with my school stuff. I must also add that I just went and counted my pants, capris, and shorts, and only came to a total of 17 (and I don't really wear dresses to work). That is LESS than the number of pairs of dress slacks he owns(19)!
I know this is totally Navy unrelated, but I just needed to share with someone!
good afternoon my girlies....NOPE we can't be stopped now....that train already left the station....all aboard! the Crazy Train has pulled out and we're on board!!!
Reds-enjoy date night!! we're have "tube" steaks....hehehehe
