Punkin--honey i know that once all this flooding is over the mosquitos are gonna be as big as my head so you keep that baby girl safe from the bloodsuckers!!!

i can honestly say that i am not one bit surprised of the caution that the Navy is advising.  i saw last night on CNN that our president's step grandmother in Africa has been threatened and security has been tightened to protect her. we all must be very very watchful and careful.

sending up prayers for our friends and family....just got email reply from sister sandi.  flood predictions not good at all for Louisiana. Sister works for Monsanto and gets updates often.  she is on the team responsible for keeping the employees safe at work and home.

Good Afternoon Ladies!!!  Connie- is the rain ever going to stop? Found out his orders are on hold because of budget issues. They cant afford to move people around until they get everyone caught up from when the Gov't shut down. At least, that is what they are telling us this week!!

Just wanted to pass on some info to you guys from the hubs. They called an all hands muster yesterday to let everyone know, that some bases are recieving mail bombs in retaliation for Osama. My husbands Chief also said to remind families that if you get a suspicious package, do not open it!! Call your police department right away! They have not said they are targeting families in particular, however, they do have people sitting all day on sites like facebook, myspace, twitter, and anywhere they can! Please just be safe everyone! Keeping you all in my prayers every night!

hey Connie--it's Connie here and i'll just throw this out...i am named after a notorious Mafia wife!!!  now understand momma and daddy didn't know when they named me that their "friend" was in the Mafia when i was born....they did think he was kinda sketchy and didn't talk much about his "job" and they really liked his wife. i just love telling this story...my parents were church going/ Jesus lovin'/ law abiding good citizens and i think it's hysterical that they named me after the Goon's wife!!!

my sailor is older too and has friends of all ages. he told me that it is important to him to set good examples for the younger ones. well at least no one is calling him Pappaw but i do think he hears "old man" every now and then.

just sent an email off to Sister in NOLA...General Honore is being interviewed from his home near Baton Rouge and if the spillways are not opened he said NOLA will flood. Butte LaRose residents are being told "it's over and to expect 15 ft. of water" it is unbelievably sad.

Thanks gals! "B" is 30 years old and is the 2nd oldest in his Div. But he has been teaching everybody else how to do it in PT and academics. His RDC challenges the other guys by yelling that "this guy is old enough for a walker and you guys can't evevn keep up with him!" I bet they just adore him! But he has always trained at the gym, did long distance and road race cycling. Plus I feel very strongly that his training at high altitude has been the reason !  He is Avionics Electronic Tech as a rating , also went in as an E3 because of his degree and is hoping he can get E4 asap! But things could have changed, his dream job is to be able play with the fighter jets computers. I can't wait to talk to his gf today for the latest details.

@Connie(Ma Belle) I know what you mean about talking to yourself! I have never met very many Connie's to date! Are you a Connie or Constance? Our prayers go out to all in your area as well because of the flooding! Hoping you are High, Dry and Safe.

whoa nellie.....do i see another Connie???  she's the Colorado kinda Connie!!!  hey welcome aboard Ms. Connie....gee i feel like i am talking to myself....hehehehe

aww momma i knooooow how you feel....Sailor Knucklehead was sick at BC...had pneumonia and you could have peeled me off the ceiling. now understand he's only Sailor Knucklehead when he won't listen to his momma....he arrived Pcola sick and wouldn't go to the medical office and then right after Christmas he was sick again and i just knew it was because he never fully recovered from pneumonia.

FINALLY i could drop the Knucklehead business because he did finally see a doctor and got well.

we'll all be keeping good thoughts and sending up prayers for your Sailor....don't worry momma...ok the day a momma doesn't worry is the day Hell Froze Over...i know.

we'll be watching for you to post HE PASSED BS-21!!!!!  HE CALLED!!!! and the "OH I AM SO PROUD OF HIM".

Good morning everyone! Our son is about to PIR next Friday from GL and will be heading for P'cola the following week for A school. He will be an AT also. I have been checking in on here since he started BC. I hope to get to know you all soon . I think he will be in P'cola for quite awhile. I heard that it is like 26 weeks. But it is like pulling teeth to get any details from him. He has been very sick the past couple of weeks SIQ a couple of days with pink eye, sinus infection and pneumonia! So he has really been concentrating on keeping up with everything and everyone. As well as doing all of the training and testing. I cant imagine doing the gas chamber with sinus problems as well as lung issues! Tough guy is what he is! He will be doing BS21 on Sun/Mon!

Cindy please send the rain to Texas.  Our chance of rain is turning in to sprinkles and nothing more and the weather man basically said if you haven't got it by now you probably won't.

MommyHunt yes join your daughter's ship's page.  The lady who organized the Bush Project has been a part of Heads at Ease for several years and her daughter is on the Bush.  She was able to get it covered between HAE and the Bush members.  I don't know how many ships HAE will be doing in the near future because that is a huge undertaking.  If they are not doing pillowcases for the entire ship (because some commands will not allow anything but Navy issue) then maybe just her rack or department could be done.  I would be glad to help.
