Sailor Son calls her Doodlebug...it just makes me almost cry thinking about it. she's still mad at him a little bit for not joining the Army....OH KILL ME NOW if he had done that!!! she has this odd fascination for the Army things....i went into her bedroom the other night and she was wearing her camo hat in the bed....oh she can be a pistol!!!

Ok ladies you've made my day :)

Donna I want to send your comment to the TV Show TMZ they made a very rude coment at Christmas time that I'm still steaming about. I hope no one else had to see it.

I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only one that cries often :)

Connie, I wanted to mow the yard last night, and thought of you so I watched TV instead. lol

marine navy mom your daughter will have two different addresses.  One of them will be used when she is deployed and the other will be her address in Norfolk of where she is living such as in the barracks or base housing.  The only time that you will receive a discount on the flat rate boxes through the post office is when you are mailing to her when she is deployed (FPO/APO address).

awww Donna---i know i've got a LOT to learn and this thing about not seeing him for looong spells is just going to take me some time to adjust to.  my husband travelled overseas and we used SKYPE.  i think i'll do ok if i can see his face....or that's what i am telling myself.

and good for you....telling the momma a thing or two about missing a child so far far from home.  i am finding myself losing patience with moms around me....their worrying about crap that isn't worth a hill of beans!!!

it should still be several months away before he leaves and i am already plotting a trip for dad to go see his boy....i could never make the trip...can't leave Sissy or Grandmaw and his dad is already used to that kind of travelling....kind of scared to see how much airline tickets are...but i will do my best to make it happen!!
