marine_navy....so if it wasn't for the stand-down Mommy's girl would start A school right after AWAT....that's pretty cool. she'll get a nice break and then be ready for 'business' after the stand-down!!!

Mommy-your girl finished on the 18th and David finished on the 23rd and that's why i thought they would start AWAT about the same time. on Monday after Thanksgiving he was told about the two classes starting up but unlikely he would be in either one because so many are ahead of him. the next class will start on the 15th and we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Matt's date to start C school was the actual date. He had to report to his duty station before C school started but when the date came up he started classes and they also have a date that they will finish classes on their orders. When they come home on leave before reporting to their duty station they have all of their paperwork from BC to that point and I took it to work with me and photocopied everything just so we would have a copy if we ever needed it and something has already come up that he was able to call me and I mailed a copy of a certain section to him that way things got straightened out a lot quicker. Just an idea.

awww shucks Joyce i nearly missed your post...me like Jacq? boy howdy would i love to have just a smidge of her Navy knowledge!!! so you formed your own group Kessler/Biloxi C school...hmmmm guess i'll have to be a stalker and drop in on you gals from time to time to see how you're doing. your kiddos will be Chief Petty Officers before David even leaves Pensacola...he's still waiting for AWAT. there are two classes starting before the Christmas Stand-down but they told him not to hold his breath...a lot in front of him. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that he is sent to Kessler too !!!!

Yes MommyHunt that is right. They can pass the test but not be promoted. I am not sure how they make the selection on who gets promoted out of the (whatever) number that passes. Apparantly ATs do not advance at a very fast pace because they do not have many openings that come up.
