Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

marine navy: She must be in the same class as Chris. He is a calibration tech as well. He said Biloxi till May. He is going to try to put in a chit in advance of getting to mississippi to come home for christmas. He is going to look into this. He said classes start Jan 4

marine_navy and 3ds, david said earlier that he'll be finished with ATT on tuesday and they told him he would start AWAT right away and after that he would start I strand...well from what you posted about your kids experiences i just didn't say a word about that 'dream timeline'....

MommyHunt-sounds like there might be a possibility that our kids might end up in AWAT together. he's only a couple of days behind her on the end of ATT.

chris graduated today. So happy this part is over. No orders yet. Nice to hear some orders are going through. Some of you have waited alot longer the my son.

My son got to work at the museum once he graduated A school. He really enjoyed his time at the museum. He also got to drive the bus that picks others up and drops them off at their jobs.

just curious...what are all these Sailors doing since graduation?? besides waiting...arrgh. i can only imagine the frusration. do they have some sort of regular routine or job to do?

Connie: Chris has not gotten orders yet. He thinks maybe not until January. He is putting in his chit to come home for Christmas. He was hoping for orders so he could be more settled in his planning but thats the Navy for you

Cindy-i got side-tracked the other day and meant to congratulate your son!!! of course being still rather new here i didn't know about the Blue Jacket award...so i learned another new thing!!! again congrats to your Sailor and yikes on the floor refinishing....when we got the new carpet i thoujght it was going to kill me...vacuuming all the little scraps and fibers plus moving everything out and in.
