C school is about 5 months for my son but the holidays are mixed in there also. Is there a C school for ATI in Mississippi? I am thinking that was another option on Matt's sheet.

Daphne--thank you !!! he had been told to expect to be in P'cola for 5-6 months and your son's experience goes right along with that. Good Going for your Sailor...getting to work on the plane!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you too !!

Connie, My son went to P'Cola the end of May and waited forever to start A school. He just graduated two weeks ago. He is in Virginia for C school, but that will not start until the middle of Jan. We all know by now that things are subject to change. He thought he would be at the bottom of the ladder , taking out the trash and sweeping floors, but yesterday he called to say he got to work on a plane !!!! He was excited and happy to be doing some hands on work. His A school was a couple of months and his C school is suppose to be seven weeks. We will see. Happy Thanksgiving.

Chris, Thanks for this info. He is there for C school but it is not supposed to start until the first week of Jan. I was hoping to see him for some of the holidays.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Chris graduates on Nov 15 or now they may move it up to Nov 12. He has one more test on the 10th. No orders yet. he is one of 3 that have not gotten them. He says now he may be there for a while. Not sure what to do about coming home. Thanksgiving or Chistmas. Kind of in Limbo.

Hi Everyone,
I'm back with another question. When my son was in Pensacola he heard that the base encouraged the sailors to take leave in December, around the 18th thru the 1st of Jan. Are most of the bases like this and have set dates when they would prefer the sailors be with their families? My son is now starting another course in Oceana and was wondering if there are any moms out their familiar with this particular base and it's holiday schedules?
Any info would be appreciated.
