Me too. That was a huge relief to know that someone would be with him on the trip. It will take about 36 hours. His fiancee was going to fly in and drive back with him but she got deployed.

Andrea my son will be driving from Texas to WA to his next duty station. I didn't like that idea at all but it worked out that his oldest brother just moved back and will be able to make the drive with him and then fly back so I feel much better about that.

My son completed ATT classes in January and went straight into his ATI classes. I don't know if that is the norm or not.

Thanks Susan I will search out the group and join. It is such a relief knowing that there are moms out there willing to step up and help out if need be.

Congratulations to Matt! And Mom you will have to join us on the WA/OR moms group... we have a discussion for Whidbey moms there! Lots of local moms here if you have questions about the area or in case Matt ever needs a local mom!

I just got a phone call from Matt. He has been assigned to Whidbey Island (which is what he wanted) and will attend C school there. He should be home in about a week.

Wow Guam for 4 years. We adopted a group on Molly's Adopt a Sailor about a year ago that was serving in Guam.
