OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He is tired of going to school and ready to get started in his job. He went to college for a year then left for boot camp and then finished his last semester of college in Florida before he started A school so he has been in Pensacola since the beginning of August '09. I am glad that he is there because it is close enough that we can go visit every couple of months but he is definitely ready to move on. They told him that he would be going on to C school but I guess that could change also.

Matts mom, my son was on hold in pcola after a school for almost a month and then went directly to the fleet on the Stennis, I guess not all go on to c school. He wasnt sure until his orders came through. Does Matt want c schooling or is he ready to get out into the fleet?

I will probably be in the same situation as some of you before long. My son just graduated A school and is on hold in Pensacola waiting for C school orders. He requested WA because that is where is fiancee' is stationed so he will be about as far away as he can get from Texas if he is stationed there. He is also an ATI.

I'm heading out to Bremerton next month with his gf, she is moving out there, not really looking forward to the drive but can't wait to explore the area and definitely can't wait to see my son.

AE
Aviation Electrician's Mates (AE) are aircraft electricians. They maintain a wide range of electrical and navigational equipment in aircraft including power generators, power distribution systems, lighting systems, flight instrument and fuel systems, temperature and pressure indicating systems. AEs are also trained in computers to support this state-of-the-art equipment. These technicians may also volunteer to fly as Naval aircrew. Aircrew perform numerous in-flight duties and operate radar and weapon systems in turbojet, helicopter, or propeller aircraft.
AT
AAviation electronics technicians (ATs) repair some of the most advanced electronics systems in the world. Repair jobs can range from flight deck trouble-shooting of the electronic weapons system on an F-14 Tomcat aircraft to changing computer circuit cards in an air-conditioned shop. These technicians may also volunteer to fly as Naval aircrew. Aircrew perform numerous in-flight duties and operate radar and weapon systems in turbojet, helicopter, or propeller aircraft.
Aviation electronics technicians troubleshoot and repair a number of complex electronics systems. Employing all the latest test equipment and procedures, ATs put that training to use repairing systems.
