Good Morn...
For the sailor that joined the Navy to see the world, he'll be 6.5 hours drive from home....... :) When he picked orders there were no overseas orders which is what he wanted but is so excited to be at Pt Mugu with the Seahawks...:)
Thanks for the prompt reply, BeachBunny! appreciate it. I will checkout the Pensacola site as well. I'm so glad to hear that they have tutoring, in case she needs it. I don't think she'll mind the wait, she's just glad to be there and out of Boot Camp! LOL She's super happy to have her cell phone and laptop back, and loving the fact that a large portion of her Division went to Pensacola with her! :)
LoriJa-welcome to AT---my sailor just grad Pcola and is in Norfolk starting C school next week....hold times in Pcola have been the norm for awhile, she really won't know until right before class but 2 months seem pretty common....there's plenty for her to "have" to do with barracks support, watch, duty rotation (for 3 days every 4th weekend) and many muster calls while waiting to class up.. ATI seems to be taking around 9 months to finish some are taking longer....You're right ATI has a lot of math and formula, there is tutoring available and some students have been given extra time to finish STRAN training...she'll have to do AWAT, ATT first so there's math in those course that will help her get ready for ATI....there's some moms on the Pcola group that could probably help you since their sailors are still at NAS......my sailors was there for 7 months for ATO....
Hi everyone! My daughter just graduated from Boot Camp and has arrived in Pensacola over the weekend to wait for ATI school to start. I thought she was going to be an AE, but evidently she is going to ATI school. What is the difference? I'm a little worried, because math is not her strongest subject.I mean, she did OK, but not great. She went up through Algebra II and got A's and B's, but never got into calculus. She's nervous too. What happens if she does not do well in this program? Will they place her in another school? Also, she's not sure when her class will start. How long did your loved one's wait for school, or did they have to wait?
Hi Ladies...My sailor had a great two weeks at home, just chillin out....:) flew back to Fl to drive his truck to Norfolk for 8 weeks of C school...currently checked into base, new roommate, new bases...lots of new again to get used to but only for 8 weeks before heading to Pt Mugu....all seems to be going well for him...:)
Happy Friday Ladies - Enjoy the Weekend!!!!
Exciting day around here...yes, he is honor grad today...sorry he talked me out of being there...double, YES, he is coming home tonight...we live on the west coast he'll be in late tonight! Can't wait!! Home for two weeks then off to C school in Norfolk for 8 weeks or so....before heading to his duty station......Pt Mugu, CA...
Sherrill--Conrads on the grandbaby--love babies! and "grand" are even better...:))
Happy Monday Ladies!
Sherrill - CONGRATULATIONS on the new grandbaby to be! Hugs to you both on the exciting news but also for Micah. Our pets are part of the family and very hard to let them go. Glad your Sailor is so much closer to home and you're able to make the visits. I'm sure the birthday boy will be happy to see you. It's gonna be doubly hard to keep you away once the new baby arrives....you may have to move to Norfolk!
BeachBunny - Your Sailor is graduating Top of his Class today CONGRATULATIONS & HOOYAH to both of you!!!!! Will he be coming home to visit before starting C school?
