Happy Hump Day!
Sherrill - I definitely don't "rough it" when camping. We too have a travel trailer, nice size with 2 slides so we have plenty of room and all the comforts of home. We did however start out tent camping and have just kept upgrading over the years. I'm starting to get the itch for a new one but need to hold off. Hubby buying the tractor last summer means no new camper for a while! I do enjoy going to the RV shows to "dream"!
lulu - Welcome! There's no definite time frame for A school. A lot depends on how quickly they class up. I've seen some class up right away and others wait months. My son spent 6 months in P'cola (waited about 1 month to class up) then he went on to C school for another 5 months. He's ATI did C school for Calibration.
Good Morning and Happy Monday to you all!
Got 4 1/2" of rain yesterday! Feeling a little ducky this morning, practically floated into work. Went camping over the weekend. Friday started out a beautiful sun shining 75 degrees but when we left yesterday morning it was 32 and raining. By the time we got home there was some sleet & snow mixed in. One thing about MO if you don't like the weather stick around it will change!
Hope you all have a great week!
Good morning from a cold & snowy MO. Someone needs to inform Mother Nature that it's March and time for Spring. I'm so ready to go camping!
Sherrill - Yeah! Let the count down begin to Sailor hugs!
MNM - Short trip but precious time. You're such a good mom!
I do have some wonderful news to share. My oldest son's best friend (we're very blessed that this young man has remained a big part of our lives - him & his wife are like our "other" kids) anyhoo they had a baby girl last night so even though she's not my granddaughter she's still very special to me so meet Leena Danielle
SRohiomom - I know it's discouraging but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when Sailors get classed up. Some have very little wait while others go months before starting, there's several moms on here that can attest to that. One morning when she least expects it she'll get that knock on her door telling her she's starting classes or if she's real lucky she'll a get a days notice! Keep encouraging her to hang on it will happen. How does she like P'cola? Hope she's been able to get out and enjoy the beach and other fun stuff.
Sherrill - Watch out you're gonna be one red hot mama in that bathing suit and your husband will want to retire early cuz he won't be able to keep his hands off you!!!!
Have a great day ladies, blessings to you all. Gettiing ready to leave for church now and as always you and your families are in my prayers.
Hi All,
So my sailor is waiting to Class up for ATI.... got there 1-5 and was told it could be 2 to 3.5 or 4 months before classing up. Well we are at 2 months and quite discouraged. I was in the service and know all about hurry up and wait.... but this is kind of absurd..... Can somebody give up some insight.
She wants to be doing something constructive.... not just being somebodies maid.... we would have kept her home and had her do that for us... haha
Thanks
Happy Friday! I'm off work today - Snow Day! well ice day is more like it. Got to leave work early yesterday. We got a combo of sleet, freezing rain & a little snow throughout the day but it didn't accumulate much; however the icy conditions have made for some treacherous road conditions. I love snow but this stuff is NO FUN!
MNM - How's your weather today? Hope you didn't end up with too much of this crap - looked like you were in the same ice band as us.
Sherrill - Woo Hoo! Great news on the cholestrol and weight loss too! You're going to be sporting a bikini on the beach this summer!!!!!
Have a great day all and enjoy the weekend!
TGIF!!!
Matt'sMom - My oldest son's best friend got married in our back yard and we had so much fun getting ready for it. I never thought of my back yard as being much of a wedding place but it turned out great. I love outdoor weddings. Don't fret about the azaleas, I'm sure everything will turn out beautiful. Hope we get to see pics. Good luck with everything and best wishes to the happy couple!
Enjoy the weekend ladies!
Looks like an early spring here in Texas. We are getting ready for our sailor's wedding in March and the azaleas are usually in full bloom the week the wedding is scheduled for but this year they are blooming early. Can not believe this since they are having a garden wedding at our house. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
