TGIF!
MNM - it's so neat the way they share. It's hard to watch our kids leave home for the military but the reward of getting to "adopt" more kids is awesome! There's so much love that goes into those packages because we know how many smiles they bring.

Good Morning My Girlies!!!

Joshmom, here's to your Sailor loving every minute of his next adventure!

Final preparations for our Sailor's homecoming for Christimas.  Last night i decorated a small tree for his room.  I cry every day so I am hoping the tears are all dried up by the time he gets here!  I don't think I can listen to this song ever again........

planning a big surprise for his Grandmaw.  she knows he's coming home (keeping it from her would be too much of a surprise for her at 86).  On Sunday he'll surprise her by showing up at her church. She's wanted for so long to show him off in his uniform to her peeps.

Happy 12-12-12 girlies!!!!

HeeHeeHee.....getting lottery numbers....hadn't thought about that yet! Before he left we joked about talking "Back to the Future" we both love those movies. I'm sure these next three years will be full of all sorts of interesting phone calls. When J is excited his voice changes and he talks fast so I'm hoping I have to tell him to slow down a lot! All I ask is that he stays safe and has fun.

Have a wonderful day ladies....ooooo...it's 12-12-12....it's gotta be a great day! Hmmmm maybe I should buy lottery tickets!

Got my first call from Japan at 3:00 this morning. I'm gonna have to get use to this time difference....I asked him what he was going to be doing today and he laughed....mom my day is over it's evening here! He sounded so good and likes it except he says the yen is confusing....says it's weird having coins that are worth something not pocket change like here!
Sherrill - fingers crossed for no tornadoes
Have a great day ladies!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Hope you all have been enjoying your weekend. It's been a Christmas shopping weekend for me.....I was sneaking out between my son's wrestling matches at his tournament yesterday in the city. I'm proud to say he took 1st place!  Today I was out shopping again but I stayed local.

Sherrill - I feel so blessed with the friendship my son has made with another Sailor.  These two are from different parts of the country but are so much alike.  They ended up in the same division in bc, went thru A & C school together and now will spending the next 3 years on the same ship.  We were fortunate to meet this young man a couple of times and I couldn't ask for a better person to be friends with my son.  I know in my heart that J's special guardian angel is behind this.  And yes I've already joined the GW group.

MNM - Wow what an awesome day you had....ESPN celebrity....too cool!  Your good deed was rewarded.

Good Morning Ladies!

I had to say good bye to my son this week.  I know you all understand how difficult it's been.  I woke up unexpectedly at 3:00 this morning and seen I had a facebook message.  It was J's best friend (who arrived in Japan last week) and he had just sent me a message saying that J was there and all was well.  I quickly replied back thanking him and saying that I loved them both.  He in turn wrote back "We love you too"  I've been crying happy tears all morning.  I feel like I got two sons over there now!

Love the Christmas pics ladies!

Good morning my girlies!

3ds, we're always happy when you jump back in.  Sorry to hear about the morale and hope things get better for your Sailor and all the crew.

Sherrill, yes i made all the Sailor Gingerbread Men.  the large one is covered in burlap.  the 8 little ones on the garage door i painted. this picture only shows 3 of them because if posted all 8 it's hard to see.
