Good Morning my Girlies....Mommas who love their Tweakers and Trons!
thank you MNM and Sherrill....i have 8 little Sailor GIngerbread Men lining the windows of the garage door too!
Good Morning Everyone! Yep I've been busy....having Sailor Son home takes top priority!!!!! Been cooking big meals every night...and of course there's all the holiday goodies.... trying to fatten him up but unfortunately I'm the one packing on the pounds! Oh well it's almost time for that New Years Dieting Resolution so I'll worry about it later.
Jill - Connie's right there's nothing definite with the Navy. My son has been very fortunate and got leave after A school and is now home after C school but I think having orders for overseas had a lot to do with his current leave. He graduated A school on a Thursday and flew home on the following Monday but he was scheduled for duty that weekend. As for C school he was processed out within an hour after graduation! Hopefully your daughter will get orders before graduating and then will be able to make decisions about leave. My son's orders popped about 3 weeks prior to graduation.
Connie - WooooHoooo your Sailor is coming home for Christmas! I bet Sissy is excited, along with Momma and Pappa Smurf! ooooo it's going to be a grand Smurf Christmas!!!!
Sherrill - you need to post some pics of those cars....such a cool collection!
I'm off to a wrestling tournament today.....youngest is really hoping to do well so he can show off in front of his brother! heeheehee
You all have a wonderful day!
hello Jill, there's no definite rule if they get to take leave after they graduate A school. some report right away and some like my Sailor do get some time before C school starts. My Sailor came home for 10 days before reporting to Oceana. the processing out of Pcola took about 2 days if i remember correctly but he was going on leave. your daughter won't know until she gets her next set of orders....and those orders come whenever the Navy determines. we've had Moms here that their kids waited up to 6 weeks for orders after A school. i think my Sailor got his orders about 2 weeks before A school ended.
wish i could tell you some thing more definite but unfortunately it all happens according to the Navy's timetable. my Son was just given the final ok on leave for Christmas this past weekend...after Thanksgiving when all the airlines raised the fares through the roof!
My daughter finally classed up for her strand class. She said she will graduate February 4. Is it at this point that they get leave or is it after C school? Also, do they get leave right away or is it a week or so later? Meaning, does it take a while to get them processed out of Pensacola, or do they get to fly out right after graduation? Thanks for any answers you might be able to give.
Happy Friday My Girlies!!
Sherrill, a '64 Chevelle!!! woohoo a rockin' car!!!!! what color?????

MNM; they went back and of course it is so quiet here. Everyone back to work and school. They wont be in for Christmas. Hannah will be working. Hopefully we can get down there for a day or two.
Everyone have a good week
MNM: Chris was just telling me he saw you as well. The world is so small. Hope you had a great thanksgiving with your daughter. We had a wonderful time.
